Publisher's Summary

Michael Campion was a people's hero, a popular governor's son who publicly battled against a rare and debilitating heart illness. When he vanished without a trace one evening, his disappearance and the search to find him, dead or alive, hit the headlines daily. But the trail went cold very quickly. Now with a new lead, Detective Lindsay Boxer is determined to find out what happened to San Francisco's Golden Boy.

Meanwhile, a string of fatal arson attacks have broken out, leaving four rich, successful married couples dead. What could the motive be for these ruthless murders and what is their link to the Campion case? With the help of her friends and fellow Women's Murder Club members: Yuki, an attorney feeling the strain of a high profile court case; Claire, a medical examiner trying to balance her career and her pregnancy; and Cindy, the reporter for a San Francisco newspaper, Lindsay must find the suspects, and fast.

Critic Reviews

"This lush recording opens with swirling harps. Cinematic sound effects and nuanced backing tracks intermittently heighten the drama of this mystery about an arsonist terrorising wealthy suburbanites."( FT Magazine)

One of the best yet

I loved this book - and the last WMC book. Multiple tangents, great characters, twists, turns galore. Just superb - I am enjoying these later books FAR more than the early ones.

Below Par Story No great shakes!

I found the narrative ok not fantastic but passable. This is the first book I have read in this series and it was below average. The story crawled on and the characters although not too annoying did not hold much interest. There are so many good books out there and I will not be wasting my time reading anymore of this series.

7th Heaven

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Not a great detective story,. It was the narrators voice that spoiled it for me

Could you see 7th Heaven being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

Sandra Bullock

Any additional comments?

Not really

Women's murder club

I have read the whole series and I'm hooked! This book continues on the tales and life of sgt. Lynzie Boxer and her 3 friends. It goes through police cases, personal life, and friendship and like all the other books you are hooked from the go! I would highly recommend starting at book 1 and enjoy the ride this is an awesome continuation of the series
