Publisher's summary

Detective Lindsay Boxer faces a heart-stopping threat in the newest Women's Murder Club thriller.

Fifteen months ago Detective Lindsay Boxer's life was perfect - she had a beautiful child and a doting husband, Joe, who helped her catch a criminal who'd brazenly detonated a bomb in downtown San Francisco, killing 25 people. But Joe wasn't everything that Lindsay thought he was, and she's still reeling from his betrayal as a wave of mysterious and possibly unnatural heart attacks claims seemingly unrelated victims across San Francisco. As if that weren't enough, the bomber she and Joe captured is about to go on trial, and his defense raises damning questions about Lindsay and Joe's investigation. Not knowing whom to trust, and struggling to accept the truth about the man she thought she knew, Lindsay must connect the dots of a deadly conspiracy before a brilliant criminal puts her on trial.

So disappointing!!

Not one of Patterson's best. Story line development is so disappointing. Sort of "okay this is enough pages". Lindsey comes across as an even bigger whiner in this book. Last Ladies Murder Club I will buy.

One of best series

If you love Women's Murder Club series, this is a strong entry.
My only complaint is getting these short stories installment by installment.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!

I am done with James Patterson forever. I keep giving him another chance but NO ONE can convince me he actually writes these books.
I rarely write reviews but I just had to in this case, there is just so much wrong. First of all it's only 7 hours long which is well below average. But in this case is was a true blessing!! There will be plenty of spoilers in this review but I hope to dissuade you from even considering buying it.
The main villain is never really developed. He goes from being a high school science teacher to being an expert bomber. As if that's not bad enough, he also commits the perfect crime. And, as if THAT's not bad enough, he decides to defend himself after he confesses to the crime (voluntarily and for no good reason) and becomes a brilliant trial attorney foiling all of the Murder Club, Boxer's husband, her partner and the prosecutor's office. He goes free!! He eventually dies quite by accident (WHAT?!?!)
About halfway through this booklet (definitely not a full length book), the author must have realized she didn't really have anything interesting to base this book on so she introduced an additional serial killer, COMPLETELY UNRELATED to the bomber case.
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Please do not waste your money. You'll be ashamed of yourself. like I am, if you do.

Cookie Cutter story .. yet again !!!

This series has gone on way too long and the stories are hollow with the same words and overly flowery descriptions of inane objects to justify the number of words needed to make it a novel . I get sucked in every time and still I don't learn - I think Audible needs to ban me from being allowed to download this series.

Another Women's Murder Club novel

I love this series for quick reads/listens. I listened to this one today while gardening, doing household chores, running errands, and making bath/beauty & cleaning products from natural ingredients. It made the time fly. I am seriously addicted to Audible.

Disappointed

Story line was boring and uninteresting. The woman's murder clubs involvement was minimal and lacked their usual crime solving antics.
