Publisher's Summary

For as long as Prudence can remember, it has been understood her sister will one day wed the eldest son of their nearest neighbor. Such an alliance will benefit both families and bring a great deal of joy to all parents involved.

Unfortunately, Prudence has never been able to feel as joyful. She believes her sister is mad to consider marrying a man she hardly knows, even if he will one day make her a countess. Titles and wealth shouldn't factor into matters of the heart, and as an aspiring romance novelist, Prudence cannot fathom how anyone could even think of settling for less than love. She certainly wouldn't, and she doesn't want her sister to, either.

Unable to stand by and do nothing, Prudence sets out to help the awkward couple discover the best in each other with the hope they will eventually find love. What she neglected to foresee, however, was the possibility she might fall in love with Lord Knave herself.

Sweet and Entertaining

A clean, sweet romance, My Sister's Intended delivered a light and easy listen with some romance and humor. Sophia is intending to marry Brand, melding their family properties together and live a life of luxury in a comfortable marriage. Prudence does not want this for herself. She wants the fast heartbeats with the rush of feelings and passion when she gets married. When she meets Brand, she is not sure that he will be a good match for her sister, but as she gets to know him better, her feelings about him change. Will Brand and Sophia be the perfect match? Or are things not always what they seem? Rachael Anderson wove a beautiful story of a forbidden romance. I love Prudence, her personality is full of spunk, she does what she enjoys and has a fierce love and loyalty for her sister. Brand is interesting, well bred, yet easy to talk to, faithful to his friends and has a way about him that draws Prudence in. I love the interactions they all have, there is a lot of banter that will bring a smile to your face. I am looking forward to more by Anderson.

Helen Taylor has the perfect voice for this regency romance. I love her style of narration with her many voices and easy flow. She makes listening comfortable and entertaining.

My Sister's Intended

This is a sweet listen but not just fluff. Prudence inadvertently catches the attention of her sister, Sophia's, intended. While that sounds really scandalous in today's society, in the time of arranged marriages for wealth, money, and social status, it's not that far fetched. Brand and Prudence are clearly much better suited, but she is the younger sister. And, this is the premise of this really sweet but engaging tale. For a clean listen, I found this book to be more sexy and romantic than many sex filled books. The chemistry between Brand and Prudence was so strong I understood why Prudence removed herself from coming in contact with Brand. This was my first Rachael Anderson and I can't wait to listen to more. I was pulled in from the beginning and would have listened straight through if I didn't have responsibilities and interruptions.

I listened to this book because I noticed Helen Taylor had a new book out. I love her narrations and tend to try new authors based on narrators I've listened to and enjoyed before. Helen delivers another stellar performance. Hope she will be doing other books in this series, because she always delivers on a great performance!

My Sister's Intended

Prudence has been put on the back burner while her sister is to be front and center. Her mother is so gruff i'm not sure how she deals with the woman. And she basically dislikes everything Prudence does. Her father decides to get her a puppy to occupy her time and the whole family ends up falling for him! While out walking him she starts running into her sisters intended and trying to help him with getting to know her sister better. But as the fates would have it they start falling for each other. Helen Taylor does an amazing job with the narration. I just love listening to her!

Great Historical Romance

This was my first Rachael Anderson’s book. This is the first book in the Serendipity Series. This is a Clean, Sweet and beautifully well written Historical Romance Story. This story is also a forbidden love story. Prudence is a beautiful and funny character. Brand is a great man, handsome, comprehensive and protective. He’s intended to marry Sophia, Prudence’s older sister, but the chemistry between Prudence and him is so much strong and sexy. I love the conclusion and the Epilogue ! I’d love to listen to the next story in the Series. The narration was well done. I like Helen Taylor’s voice. Her soft voice fits perfectly with the story. This story was easy to listen and I enjoyed my listening.

The outspoken lady, a writer? Unheard of!

Prudence loves books, particularly romance novels, and fancies herself a writer. This is much to the chagrin of her mother, who believes that her younger daughter is filling her head with nonsense...nothing that will help her to 'catch a nice husband'...after her sister's wedding, of course. When her sister is having pre-wedding jitters about her intended, Lord Knave (love that name...lol), Prudence decides to investigate and test the man. Really, shouldn't people marry for love? As Prudence becomes friends with Brand (Lord Knave), her feelings become more...how will she reconcile these feelings without betraying her sister and family? Brand is also an great guy, and his banter with Prudence will leave you in stitches!
This is a clean, historical romance in which the h is witty & clever and will have you cheering her on from page 1! Love how protective she is of her older, somewhat naive, sister. We have a beautiful HEA, and can't wait for the next book...no spoiler's on who's HEA ;-)
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
