Publisher's summary
The much-anticipated and inspiring memoir by Indra Nooyi, the trailblazing former CEO of PepsiCo, offering clear-eyed insight and a call to action for how our society can really blend work and family - and advance women - in the 21st century.
For more than a dozen years as one of the world's most admired CEOs, Indra Nooyi redefined what it means to be an exceptional leader. The first woman, person of colour and immigrant to run a Fortune 50 company - and one of the foremost strategic thinkers of our time - Nooyi transformed PepsiCo with a unique vision, a vigorous pursuit of excellence and a deep sense of purpose. Now, in a rich memoir brimming with grace, grit and good humour, My Life in Full offers a firsthand view of a legendary career and the sacrifices it so often demanded.
In her book, Nooyi shares the events that shaped her - from her childhood in 1960s India, to the Yale School of Management, to her rise as a consultant and corporate strategist who soon ascended into the most senior executive ranks. The book offers an intimate look inside PepsiCo, detailing how she steered the iconic American company toward healthier products and reinvented its environmental profile without curbing financial performance - despite resistance at every turn.
At the same time, Nooyi built a home with her husband - also a high-powered executive - two daughters and members of her extended family. My Life in Full includes her unvarnished take on the competing pressures on her attention and time, and what she learned along the way. This book, as has her personal journey, will inspire young women everywhere to believe that they, too, can climb to powerful roles without giving up on the desire for a family and children. But, as Nooyi eloquently argues, her story is not a call for women to simply try harder, but is proof of the importance of organised care structures in all of our success. Nooyi makes a clear, actionable, urgent call for business and government to prioritise the care ecosystem, from skilled care networks to zoning policy, to paid leave and flexible and predictable work hours, each so critical to unleashing the economy's full potential and helping families thrive.
Generous, authoritative and grounded in lived experience, My Life in Full is both the story of an extraordinary leader's life and a moving tribute to the relationships that created it.

An awesome read,
It has been an eye opening also in my journey as a career woman that indeed you can have a share of both worlds executing you duties very intentionally. They are hard days where hard choices have to made but that is life. I loved the fact of helping out to her family and keeping a close relationship with her nuclear and immediate families 💯.

Insightful, loved it!
The first few chapters were a bit dull ( almost felt like Indra Ma’am led a very boring life and could have let her hair down and have some fun along the way), but then chapter 6 onwards I couldn’t stop! Very holistic with powerful storytelling and futuristic insights - a must read/listen!

Honest and insightful
this audio book was reflective and thoughtful. I’m glad she narrated it herself, it just made the emotion pop out and all the more relatable.
She delves into many themes - being an immigrant woman climbing the corporate ladder, overcoming self doubt and criticism, regret, optimism, self-belief, empathy, struggles of motherhood - but what is striking is contentment. Contentment from living a full life with the good and bad, seeing everything as an opportunity to learn.
She isn’t patronising or prescriptive in any way - just unapologetically describes her experiences and thoughts hoping that it might help someone.

Very good
Excellent account of Indra’s journey from her childhood in India to Pepsi’s CEO. I liked the fact that she is candid and doesn’t try to sugarcoat the personal sacrifices she had to make (as a wife and a mother) to allow her to get to where she got to, recognising the role her husband and immediate family played in it. It does unfortunately confirm that women can’t “have it all” and reinforces why increasingly more women with (or aspiring to) very senior leadership roles in big corporations feel no option but to choose between building a career or a family. I’m glad Indra choose to narrate the book herself.

A wholesome read
Loved every bit of Indra's candour, openness, and the gaps on gender equality/ opportunities for the care industry shared towards the end, wrapped up with her commitments. Of course, the fact it was read by her is the icing on the cake! I recommend, very relatable story

Excellent and inspiring read
A thoroughly engaging and inspiring book. Indra Nooyi is a superb narrator and her use of language is superb as she charts her life story. Key themes around education, business, family and leadership are all addressed in a wonderfully cohesive manner.
My only reason for a slight downgrade is I was hoping to hear more about challenges and situations that didn’t go to plan to get a sense of how she navigated her way through them.

An Extraordinary Live by an Amazing Woman
This is an incredible book to listen to. Indra Nooyi is a remarkable woman. Becoming the CEO of a global company is incredible in itself but she is a woman and a woman of colour so there were additional challenges and barriers. She openly talks about the challenges of having a family and responsibilities whilst being a high flying business person. And she never leaves behind her purpose for change. A must listen to.

Indra Nooyi …. my lifetime idol
Indra Nooyi has been someone I have followed all my life and wanting to be like her. Following her all this time I always felt she was a different cutout above all …by intellect… that she is but listening to her story in her own words told by her was a surreal experience of knowing she is an ordinary human being with ordinary challenges likes us but who had extraordinary responses and actions to those challenges. Makes me believe I can achieve something. And makes me want to meet her in person so desperately… ❤️

Vanilla and insipid
I have looked up to Indra as an Indian woman who made it in the corporate world. This book reads like a corporate report. It has no real examples of the effort or struggles that an immigrant woman faces to
Make it in the world of work. Either Indra led a charmed existence or she glossed over the struggles. Either way she lost a follower.
