Publisher's summary

Unexpected an undeniable...

Bailey Moore has an agenda: skiing in the Rockies, exploring castles in Europe, ballroom dancing in Argentina. Now that she has a second lease on life, she's determined not to miss a thing. What she doesn't realize is that item number one comes with a six-foot-one ski god hot enough to melt a polar ice cap. She doesn't want to miss out on him either, but Hudson Kincaid isn't the type of guy to love and let go. And as gorgeous as Cedar Ridge is, she's not planning to stick around.

As head of ski patrol at his family's resort, Hud thinks he's seen it all. But never has he run into someone like Bailey. She might look delicate, but her attitude is all firecracker. And her infectious joy touches something deep within him that he's been missing far too long. Now he'll just have to convince Bailey to take a chance on her biggest adventure yet...something rare and all kinds of wonderful.

My favorite so far!

I loved this story!
You never know what life has for you so why not make the best of what's been dealt! This is the idea for Baily, a graphic artist with artistic blood flowing through her veins. While on her first big job painting a mural at a picturesque ski resort, everything on her to do list is being checked off as planned until one little hiccup.....well, one very large, very in charge man tries to tell her she won't be doing a mural, now there seems to be a problem!
When Hudson Kincaid is on the job, he is on the job 24/7. When he comes across a women who just doesn't seem to fit, heading towards a dangerous ski slope he knows is not for her, of course he has to step in. What he wasn't prepared for was this cute no nonsense tiny woman to brush him off like he was the one in the wrong place. Flustered by by this mysterious lady in red, what better for his week to end on the slopes, than to run into said lady in red while visiting his mom the next day?! Why is she here, and why is she taking up space in his head-he doesn't have time for that?!

Great read/listen, very happy with the trials and tribulations presented, and best of all - CAN'T wait to hear in book 3, Hudson's twin brother is back!!! Yay!

Absolutely loved it!

I loved this story and am loving the new series - can't wait for the next books. Hud is so seriously sexy and Bailey is a great heroine - strong and so filled with happiness and optimism. Not your typical self-conscious, always doubting herself heroine we sometimes see in books. Loved this! Another great Jill Shalvis read:)

Must Love Good Humor

Would you listen to My Kind of Wonderful again? Why?

Absolutely, author can really put out a good series when she falls in love with our heroes. These are simple stories about family values that revolve around 4 hunky brothers. Humor is the first order of the day. The author can say such fun things in clear humor, but if you are deluged with multi tasks, you will miss it or not have the opportunity to enjoy it. i.e. the times when Hud and Adian rescue snow boarders, LOL time. Don't miss the brothers gift sharing times.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Kind of Wonderful?

When our heroines ski cap comes off for the first time.

Which character – as performed by Karen White – was your favorite?

Author must have written this series with Ms White reading it. Gads, she is good! See my other reviews for this author. Don't miss Julie James series that ms white reads, or Rebecca Zanetti's Sin brothers. Whoa!

Any additional comments?

I have put Jacobs' story on my wish list due out in March.

A great second in series!

Hotness Rating 3 out of 5

My Kind of Wonderful is the second book of the Cedar Ridge series by Jill Shalvis. Now, I am a huge fan of Jill Shalvis so when the first book of this series was just okay for me I knew I would be giving the next book a chance. I am so glad I did. I loved My Kind of Wonderful. I just couldn't read it fast enough and then when it was over I felt more than a little bereft.

Bailey Moore was a character that you can't help but love. She had strength and bravery in spades, but she never came accross hard or cynical about life. As a matter of fact, she was the opposite. She was soft and sweet even when she was digging her heals in.

Hudson Kincaid has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Pretty much everything that is tough in his life he either blames himself for or steps up to take care of it preventing anyone else (as much as he can) from being touched by it. I couldn't help but be drawn in by his character and absolute dedication to his family. Throw in a little cocky and all kinds of sexy and you just about have the perfect guy.

I loved Bailey and Hudson together and enjoyed immensely their leap from fling to permanence. Stubbornness was the very definition of both of these characters, so this trip was not smooth let me tell you. But, it was fun to read.
