My Fair Marchioness the third book in Christi Caldwell’s Scandalous Affairs series is absolutely marvelous! I added the audiobook so I could use the Whispersync function and listen while working on Saturday, because I couldn’t put it down. This is the first of her books I have listened to, and the narration by Tim Campbell was awesome! This is the story of Julia Smith and Harris Clarendon, Marquess of Ruthven. After the disappearance of her sister Adairia, Julia is afraid for her life, and flees to the home of the Duchess of Arlington. Ruthven, godson of the Duchess, had been protecting her from charlatans pretending to be her lost niece for years, so he certainly doesn’t trust Julia, but then, he has doesn’t trust any woman. But the more time he spends with Julia, the more the walls around his heart crumble. As with all Caldwell books, you’ll fall in love with these characters. But even more so with the secondary characters, Adairia, the twins, Ladies Cowpen and Crowley, Stebbings and the Duchess of Arlington. They made me laugh out loud! This is another must read, and I hope their will be another book.
