My Extra Sensory World

A Look at Bipolar Psychosis, Hypomania, and Delusions

This book is a window into my extra-sensory world—a world colored by bipolar disorder, psychosis, hypomania, and the delusions that come with them. I have written it not only to tell my story but to help others understand what it is like to live inside a mind that sometimes refuses to obey. You will find moments of chaos, confusion, and fear. You will also find moments of hope, clarity, and connection. I write with honesty about the tactile sensations, the panic, the anxieties, the hospital visits, and the small victories that make life worth living. This is not a manual, a cure, or a blueprint.

It is a testimony—a way of saying: I survived, I am surviving, and I am learning to navigate this world in a new way. My hope is that anyone struggling with mental illness, or anyone trying to understand someone who is, will find something here that resonates, validates, or encourages them. Finally, I write with faith. There were times when God seemed distant, times when I questioned everything. Yet through every moment of despair, I have discovered glimpses of hope, love, and grace that remind me I am not alone. This book is my story. It is messy, it is real, and it is mine.
