Publisher's summary

I know he doesn’t like me....and I don’t really care.

A while back, we started construction on a bank of condos...except when we started digging, we didn't just hit dirt...we hit dinosaur bones.

And then came the science geeks, obsessing over digging out "the specimen" and "preserving history". Only thing is, for every day they're still invading our worksite, it's another day where we aren't getting paid nearly enough.

So yeah, they probably think I'm a loudmouth and a rebel rouser...and they might be right. But I've got bills to pay. Debts to clear. They’re costing me some cold, hard cash.

What I want is for them to pack up their little tents and tools and leave.

What I've got is a gentle, apple pie, rescue-cats-from-trees archaeologist who's decided to blackmail me.

Frankly, I didn't think he'd have it in him.

Frankly, I kind of want him in me.

Wait, what?

If you're looking for a sweet and steamy audio book with dangerous mudslides, enemies to lovers, and a satisfying age gap, check out My Enemy’s Secret, the third audiobook in the Dig Deep series! This title, and all titles in the series, can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Favourite so far

I can see where these boys bosses are coming from all of them are hooking up with the enemy so to speak. But in this book the two teams end up working together. Oliver who we hadn’t seen much of before now really is a klutz. But I’m great full that he found someone and of all the people to hook up with. Loved this book and look forward to listening to more of this series.

Loved it

This is the third book in the Dig Deep Series with well-developed characters. Oliver is a germaphobe/Klotz Archeologist. Reyland is a singer turned construction worker. He was also the catalyst in working against the Archeologist/Museum in books 1 & 2. In this book, the two teams up to get everyone to work together. The chemistry between these two is electric. I could not put the book down. The narration was very well done.

OK, liked the first two better

3.5 to 4 Blue Roses
3.5 to 4 Blue Flames

Narrator Austin Jay delivered once more a very funny and intriguing little romance by the excavation site. Builders versus archeologists, and it seems both teams are in for a big muddy mess. The delivery is not as good as the previous two books in the series, but the plot is absolutely 100% different and the likable main characters make up for the sloppy narration. The main characters are difficult to distinguish from each other causing me to constantly stop and rewind to determine who is actually speaking.
I loved the action and angst which grabbed my attention.
I do recommend this audiobook, but don't expect more than 3.5 rose quality. It is still a very pleasurable listen.

Happy Listening

Angsty but awesome

This book felt like it had a lot more angst in it than either of the first two. It's not a bad thing! It helped to built the story more and really get you into the same mindset as the characters. At one point I could practically feel the germs on me as Oliver described it. Sheesh!

This was a well developed story with good background that lets you understand each character and why they are now the way they are. The building of their relationship felt very realistic and it was quite easy to imagine it happening for real.

As always, the narrator was fantastic in bring the characters and situations alive.

Do yourself a favour and read this!!

enjoyed it

Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Were there any parts I found annoying: no
Did I feel an emotional connection to the characters: yes
Would I listen to it again: yes

Oliver and Reyland are an unlikely match but are likeable and fun characters and I enjoyed their story. The book has good pace and low angst but is probably my least favorite of the three books currently available. I did like the way the book finally gets both the Archaeologist and Construction teams working together.

Austin Jay did a good job on the narration, he narrates the characters clearly for the most part, but there were a couple of places in this one that I lost track of who was speaking.

Overall an easy enjoyable listen.

Floods, friends, family, dinosaur bones and mud.

When things go wrong, they go wrong completely. Working conditions changed from dirt to mud. As the water rose, the mud and water filled the pits and digging area with slop. Everything was dirty and slippery. How could the students finish the dig when trailers, equipment, and work areas were covered with mud? Time to cooperate instead of fight the construction workers. Oliver is able to save the day.

A match I didn't see coming!

Austin Jay is a wonderful narrator.

Oliver is a klutz and germaphobic. Him getting together with a guy who loves working in the dirt seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Disasters keep occurring and bring the two men closer together. I enjoyed watching their love grow.

Enjoyable listen

and good story nothing spectacular just a solid enemies to lovers romance, Narration is done well. The only thing that bugged me were there back stories, they just didn't seem to make sense to me but over all I did enjoy the characters and story.
