Publisher's summary

Our children are a gift from God, but this gift also comes with an awesome responsibility. As parents, we are tasked with raising children who know how to love God, live righteously, and be productive members of society. This is no small task, and the work begins the moment a child enters into this world.

In My Child, Sara Woods addresses the common questions and difficulties that parents often encounter while rearing young children. As a mother of three, she recounts many of the experiences she had while raising her own young children and shares the wisdom she gleaned from those experiences. My Child lays out the tools parents need to raise confident children who refuse to bow to the pressures of a society that has become unmoored from Biblical truth, and who courageously stand athwart the culture by submitting themselves to the principles of God’s word.

Well worth to listen to!

This is a book to be recommended to any parent at any stage of life they may be in. What an incredible guide to raising children who are joyfully respectful of their parents and other figures of authority in their lives. The principles laid out in this book have been proven to work as is evidenced by the author’s own 3 adult children who are some of the most well liked, respectful and confident people I have met. Take the time to listen to, or read, this book. I will personally be referring back to the Godly advice given here, time and again, when I need wisdom for laying out expectations and discipline in my own home with my children.

A Fun, Challenging Book About Parenting

I listened to the audiobook version of My Child. This book was especially fun for me because it is written & read by a friend of mine, who happens to also be a pastor's wife in the same town as me. Sara's joy in her life, in her children, & in Jesus comes through in the book, both in the content & the reading. It was a great reminder to me of how I need to be raising my children to be adults who can go into society & be successful. I took a lot of good advice away from it. Overall, a great read!

Like having a chat with a great friend

This book was so enjoyable to listen too. It was like having coffee with that amazing women you wish you could be when you grow up. The information is practical and down to earth. I would highly recommend this book to any momma that feels overwhelmed at times! Especially on that needs to know they are not alone and there is light at the end of the tunnel.

A Fantastic Parenting book full of Biblical references

A fantastic read for moms, or anyone really!

This is a helpful book with biblical advice for parenting. It was so encouraging to me and I would recommend it to any mom looking for advice. The author shares biblical references and ideas in an easy to implement way.

I’m so excited that it’s now on audible so I can listen while I’m on the go! (And read by the author herself.)

Such a helpful, applicable, and a very enjoyable read!!

I love the writing style used in the book ‘My Child’. It’s as though you’re sitting down with the author as she tells humorous family stories as well as the more serious trials she faced and overcame while raising her own children. An excellent book for anyone looking for a loving/ godly way to raise their children. Wether your child is younger or older you’re sure to find a gem with this book!!!

Solid truths!

Sarah Woods offers very solid, biblical truths with regard to parenting. Woods states very eloquently some hard to grasp concepts. I especially loved her word picture for what mercy and grace look like; comparing grace to a tool to utilize, and being responsible to put in the work.
