Publisher's summary

A girl, a boy, and a bet.

Good girl Astrid Ella Bailey, the Oreo-loving school nerd of Evergreen High, has anxiety issues. Like any other nerd, she preferred to bury her nose in her books all day and avoid attention like the plague. She never got into trouble, except for that one time a kid ruined a photo of her best friend...a very dear friend she just lost in a tragic accident.

Bad boy Kai Asher, her high school's head playboy, is trouble incarnate. Intense, rough, and sexy, he's the one who makes all the girls swoon. One flirtatious wink and their hearts bend like clay dough. Oh, the shame when they all break like fragile china.

A bet is made, tempers flare up, and punches are thrown.

And when the good girl crashed into the bad boy - quite literally, screeching tires and smoking hoods included - the school went wild with intrigue. Astrid was thrown into the spotlight, and extra attention is never good for an almost antisocial nerd.

What was the bet? And why did Kai suddenly appear - in all his half-naked glory - at Astrid's next door window one day? Can she resist his insane sexual innuendos, or will she lose her sanity? Or what's left of it, anyway.

Fall in love with this light-hearted bad boy YA romance that's sure to make you more than a little giddy inside. Wear your pajamas, snuggle into your couch, and enjoy this hilarious listen (preferably with Oreos on the side). Grab your copy now!

Umm...

Is that it? What happened to her boyfriend? It was going along well and then the author just decided to call it a night.

Terrible recording.

Cough, cough, cough, clap, clap, clap...unbelievable! I don’t think this was professionally recorded or else someone is completely incompetent at their job.

Enjoyable

This was a good story about growing up and figuring out how to be your own. I've been on an angst-ridden mature YA romance binge listen (including authors Tijans Books, Penelope Douglas, Jillian Dodd, C.L. Stone---all fantastic), most of the books were pretty good, but this one might take the cake.  Astrid Bailey is in high school and getting perfect grades, studying and being a proper student are all her top priorities. The story is that your typical nerdy girl meets a hot bad boy. Kai does give Astrid a little more confidence then what she's had in the past. The things Astrid goes through at the hands of her friends, her own twin and several students at school is heartbreaking, it's no wonder she feels she doesn't belong. Seems everyone but her parents have betrayed her. My heart hurt for Astrid Bailey, I laughed, had heart palpitations & wanted to smack people all within 24 hours. A romance filled with intensity, angst, an emotional roller coaster ride, and I loved it!!! Desirae Clark had me crying, angry, frustrated, and very smitten by the end of the book.

Story was engaging enough, Recording needs edit

The story and narration were well enough. There are issues with the recording including fuzziness, occasional a slight echo, coughing, and other parts that needed to be cut out.

It's all over the place!

This book started out okay, but then I felt it just fell apart. There were a lot of situations that just weren't very realistic. I understand that this is fictional, but at least have some explanation as to why your school is having a dance on Christmas eve! Some of the phrasing was off, too, and I wondered if the book had originally been written in another language.

Nicole Graham's performance was fine. There were some parts, however, that were meant to be cut from the final recording that weren't.

In short, don't waste your money or a credit. If you subscribe to the Romance Package, hey, maybe you'll like it better than I did.

Hmmm

My Bad Boy Neighbor is an okay book. The ending left me with questions, it seems like a rushed ending, or maybe just left open so another book could be added.

good storyline

Enjoyed the storyline and it definitely made me want another book to follow Astrid on her journey. She's a troubled teen just trying to make it through highschool without completely breaking down because of the lies, rumors and backstabbing which i think alot of us can relate to more than we'd like to admit. I hope that if the same narrator is chosen she gets better equipment. Her narration was good though editing should have picked through it better. I could hear birds chirping at one part and thought I was loosing my mind and there were also some repetitive parts. I hate it for the author because again I enjoyed the book and the storyline. It's more young adult book than those I normally read but still good.

Sad and poor ending

This was an okay story with all the high-school angst thay goes with it. I didn't like the way the end left it all up in the air and no 2nd book in sight?? what the what. Connor was a creep keeping secrets from her about her; and so were her so called fair weather friends. Best to move on to something new. Her friends seemed more like mean girls even to her. And parents too busy to make time for their kids?? What???I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was good.

The story didn't end

This needs a second book to finish the story. This time Kia point of view is needed. He seemed to care for her. He was himself with her, not the bad boy he pretends to be with everyone else. The need book need to start with Connor finding Kia in her room, him comforting Connor.

Is she happy after? Does she realized that Connor cared about her?
Does her brother try to say sorry?

The books ends, left way to many questions.

I did like the story...

The story had potential though didn't really pick up. I can't put my finger on why, because the elements were there but the story felt a bit like a shopping list. It seemed to end with a cliff hanger so if there are more to listen to, I will do so. As I say I did like the story

There seemed to be a little editing mishap at around chapter 29.

I liked the narration. Nicole Graham managed to bring the different characters to life. But I listen through earphones and during some chapters there was a lot of background noise which I found distracting.

An ok YA listen

This story was enjoyable enough. I was surprised when it ended very abruptly but it sets it up for the next book on the series.

My Bad Boy Neighbor

I really liked this book. I liked how the book is written as a diary. It follows a girl that is struggling from a tragic loss and also bullying. I found it very relatable. I don’t know if there is more to this story or if it ends here.

Dare to be different

I really enjoyed this story. I liked getting to know the characters. Some high school bullies. Some learning how to deal with life issues. Some self discovery. Although the ending is on a positive note. You are left a little void of details. The narration was good with some technical difficulties in editing.

good read

I enjoyed listening to this book good characters and story line....left on a cliff hanger will hopefully be getting book 2 when available (hopefully there will be a book 2).......
the only thing negative thing I will say is in chapter 30 the chapter repeats part of it's self and the narrator coughs and says clap a few times which is distracting from the story
