Publisher's summary

When you listen to My 365 Days with the Wolfhounds in Vietnam, you will be amazed by the stories as told by SSGT John “Big John" Quintrell. You will feel what it is like to be eaten alive by leeches, bitten by cobras, and fighting a constant war with malaria-carrying mosquitoes.

Experience the unique bonds of brotherhood between men that came into the platoon as strangers, but soon became brothers watching each other's back. You will feel the anguish of a soldier whose friend dies in his arms. You will be with the platoon when they face 300 NVA regulars in an impossible fight for their lives. You will feel the startling fear that grips a man when he sees his buddy blown up by a land mine.

You will experience the utter discouragement of sitting in a rice paddy at night during monsoon rain. Join the men who have survived the war for 10 months and the paranoia they experience about being killed so close to going home. Ride with Big John on the freedom bird that is taking him home after a year in hell. Observe a broken soldier trying to adjust to living back in the world, dealing with alcoholism and PTSD.

Thank you for your service

Exceptional book highlighting John's year with the Wolfhounds. From helicopter assaults and nighttime ambushes, to the comradery formed by men who found themselves thrust into the quagmire that was the Vietnam war. As a descendant of a former Bobcat, thank you John and all those who have served. Your sacrifices will not be forgotten.

HARD ON THE EARS

OMG the reading after 10 minutes, I had to stop and take a break. Going to try and see if make it to the end.
The stopping to swallow, breath, mess up on words, unedited issues takes away from story. Reading to just read aloud, you would think he not know the story from how reading. This could be a great book but never know because the reading so bad it destroys it
