Cameron and Wanda 💜

Muse of the Witch is the ninth book in the Keating Hollows series. I love the Keating Hollows series and I was happy to be able to return back to their world. In this installment we follow Wanda and her beau, Cameron. Lots of bombshells happen in this book. It was awesome to read how both Cameron and Wanda overcome the life changing drama that seems to follow them. This book truly had some laugh out loud moments. I love the golf cart races! They are so much fun. The narrator, Gabra brought this story to another level. I truly enjoyed it and highly recommend the audiobook.

Felt like the same story

There seems to be a recurring theme of insecure clueless women and men with children they knew nothing about. Just sounds like the same old story over and over again. It's like stories to promote family planning. Not all men have kids they don't know about and not all women have secret kids with old boyfriend. I would also like an addition of a character that not only has their life together but that doesn't automatically think every man is lying and jumps to the wrong conclusion. Think up something new.

Building Commitment and Community, 4.5

This was a wonderful edition of the series and I was so excited to jump into this volume as Wanda has always been a favorite character and I was excited to get to know her and Cameron better. I love the way you get to see the community of Keating Hollow interact in each volume and the different relationships and dynamics play out. Although I never feel rooted in the actual town, I don't think I could give you any description of this place, the focus is really on the individuals and their relationships which are rich and complicated. Don't get me wrong these are still fluffy stories that are far from an in depth character analysis but it was lovely seeing the characters struggle with the very real life fears around commitment and navigating trust and family crisis. The beginning had me laughing a great deal but I appreciated that although Wanda often plays the class clown and comic relief in other stories the audience gets to see behind that one note of the character to the other qualities she possesses of loyalty, dedication, and deep love. Never fear we still get some great golf cart races, but we also get to see two folks fumbling through the rocky terrain of developing courtship. The final chapter the POV switches to the protagonist of the next volume Amelia Haliday who is the sister of the character Rex Haliday who is the main male love interest of book one in Deanna's other series Witches of Christmas Grove. I actually started with WOCG before discovering Deanna's other series. I don't think the it is as strong as Keating Hollow or Premonition Pointe but still fun fluffy melodrama with hints of magic. I will say the end set up with Amelia and her interest Grayson left a great deal to be desired, was not a set up that pulled me in but rather left me cringing. Needless to say I will of course listen as I am devouring all of Deanna's series but I actually didn't find myself rooting for Amelia. Gabra does well as always narrating and I know fans of the series will enjoy seeing this new more serious side of Wanda.

Wanda gets her story!!

Miss Wanda Danvers enjoys a good night out! Golf cart races rank at the top of that list, but, not one to turn down a little bit of fun with a no commitment relationship either!! But, Wanda’s priorities change when her younger sister shows up & Wanda starts to question what is important!!
Love how Deanna keeps The Keating Hollow residents all connected through her stories!!

Wanda's story has everything I was looking for!!!

Wanda's story was EVERYTHING I was looking for!! I've been dying to know more about the outgoing and lively Wanda. This story gave me all I needed to know, and more. I literally could not put this book down. I had to know how Wanda was going to handle a budding relationship with an amazing guy, her sister showing up, and of course golfcart racing! Dont underestimate the "old ladies" when it comes to golfcart racing and magic Wanda! ;-)
I was so happy to get to know such a beloved character and see another side of her. You are cheering for her and Cameron Copeland the entire time. And boy do they have some mountains to climb! But if it's true love, you know they will overcome it all! As usually, Deanna Chase made me laugh, cry and fall in love with these folks and Keating Hollow. Outstanding!!

Delightful Series...Another WINNER

Have enjoyed this series and this was another good addition. You need to start with book one because there is character and story development. In this book romance is at jeopardy, a half sister shows up into town, one of the characters finds out he is a father and more people are moving into town. No violence no blood no cussing just a clean well written book that makes you feel good after reading. Narrator is superb!! A great escape to read in these hard times

Blake and Cameron

Back to Keating Hollow we go! It's time for Wanda's story. Oh jeepers her friends with benefits situation is going to take a sudden turn. And just when things get complicated with Wanda's younger stepsister, Cameron throws in the let's get serious.

Now let's go back to the stepsister situation that is Blake. Showing up on Wanda's doorstep in the midst of teenage angst. Not to mention Cameron is a successful screenwriter who finds himself out of town for work. Wanda is definitely a no strings attached kind of gal. But now she has to handle her demons and people always leaving.

I love being able to see how the characters grow throughout the series and a glimpse into their current lives even though this book is specific to Wanda and Cameron...I voluntarily reviewed an audio copy of Muse of the Witch from the author.

Wanda's story doesn't disappoint.

I loved Wanda's story...her fire and spunk are awesome. I was happy to enjoy some golf cart racing, and I absolutely love the unique way a family is formed in each story of this series. I also love checking in on the characters from other stories.
