Publisher's summary
Muse is a young cat whose mind has a special power, but she feels trapped living her life as a stray in the big city. With no memories of her kittenhood, she is haunted by dreams of the countryside, and she begins to wonder if the country is her real home.
Two other stray city cats befriend Muse, and each of them has its own journey to make as well. Together, they embark on an adventure to discover what it means to be home, to find peace, to experience joy, love, loss, and acceptance, and to experience a wild ride along the way.

Story
The kingdom of Cornucopia was once the happiest in the world. It had plenty of gold, a king with the finest moustache you could possibly imagine, and butchers, bakers, and cheesemongers whose exquisite foods made a person dance with delight when they ate them. Everything was perfect - except for the misty Marshlands to the north, which, according to legend, were home to the monstrous Ickabog. Anyone sensible knew that the Ickabog was just a myth to scare children into behaving. But the funny thing about myths is that sometimes they take on a life of their own.

Captivating, surprising, warming of the heart
If you could sum up Muse: A Cat's Story in three words, what would they be?
Heartwarming, adventurous, colorful
What did you like best about this story?
The warmth and innocence of the main character juxtaposed against others...and the influence that sweetness had on others...
What about Robyn Hurst’s performance did you like?
This narrator has an easy-to-listen-to voice, and captured the very different characters well. I was also able to follow the descriptive language in my mind's eye like a movie!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It definitely takes you places, no pun intended (since the story does take the characters on an adventure)...don't expect to come away without your heartstrings having been tugged...=-)
Any additional comments?
While this story does have a "happy ending", it is also very real. I appreciate that not everything is a perfect fairytale, but there can be value and goodness found in every adventure.

Cat's meow
This story takes you inside what a cat might be thinking. The narrator pulls you into the story with great voices distinct to each cat.

Wonderful story and narration
What made the experience of listening to Muse: A Cat's Story the most enjoyable?
Not going to lie...I shed a few tears on this one. Several different reasons, mainly knowing that all three cats were working towards their dream, all different ones, but all perfect for them individually.
Who was your favorite character and why?
They were all my favorite for different reasons. We can all relate to being exhausted from life in general, to feeling attractive to others, to chasing a dream. Even the train cats were favorite characters!
Have you listened to any of Robyn Hurst’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first opportunity to listen to one of Ms. Hurst's performances. I was happy to hear the enunciation of each word (hard now days!) and it was great to hear the different voices she had for each of the characters. I smiled when several characters were "talking" and she was able to keep all of them very distinct.
Any additional comments?
This was a great story and wonderful narration. I laughed out loud, smiled, frowned, and teared up at some parts of the story. Definitely well worth listening to!

Kitty Story for Everyone!
If you could sum up Muse: A Cat's Story in three words, what would they be?
Smooth storyline, unlike other animal point of view novels I've listened to (or read) in the past.
Have you listened to any of Robyn Hurst’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is not my first experience listening to Robyn Hurst, nor will it be my last. Her voice is easy to listen to. The character specific voices made the performance entertaining and even more enjoyable.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, since the story is only 2 hours long, one sitting was all that was needed! Which is perfect so you can let yourself experience the whole story at once.
