Publisher's Summary

Bookstore and bar owner Jaycee Sullivan, figured it was just another typical day when her pastry chef sister, Jax, asked her to help deliver chocolates to a local winery. However, the discovery of a dead body was anything but typical for Jaycee.

Then, when the new hunky detective in town, Mike Connors, demands Jaycee keep her nose out of the investigation, she decides she has no choice but to take matters into her own hands. After all, her sister’s baking reputation is on the line and a killer is still on the loose. With the help of Gramps, a retired Army colonel, her mom, and Tillie, a former trapeze artist and contortionist, Jaycee picks up the investigation gauntlet and runs with it.

Between slinging suds, boozy baking, and numerous wine tastings, Jaycee must scramble to bring down the killer before Jax is next in line.

Great fun read..

This was a fun cozy mystery. A lovely break from real life. There were a few spots i heard sounds of a recorder click and background noise but not enough to turn me away from continuing listening. Loved the characters.

A No1 cosy mystery, you will love this lol story.

What a wonderful read/ listen too this book is, characters that are easily imaginable and believable,
There are quite a few laugh out loud parts and it really is a fun story from the first page.
The plot of the story is extremely well written with lots of action.
I was gripped from the beginning and didn’t want to stop listening to find out what happens next.
Put this book on your “must-read” list.
The narrator (Alyssa Baumann) does an excellent interpretation of bringing this story to life, the way she does multiple voices is unbelievable, she has a lovely clear voice and is fun to listen too.
I received this book for free from AUDIOBOOKS UNLEASHED and wanted to leave an honest review.

A family mystery

I enjoyed this book. I loved the novel and unusual idea of a book store in the pub and it was a great way to introduce new and very quirky characters. The reason I enjoyed this book so much was the characters from the the John Wayne loving Grandpa General to the trapezist knife throwing new neighbour, they even had a grumpy bulldog all were a lot of fun and got into some funny situations as they tried to solve the murder. I was also nice to have such a nice close knit family life. The mystery was interesting and had plenty of suspects to keep you guessing and laughing. I have enjoyed this author's other series featuring Ryli Sinclair and I think this series is going to be just as entertaining.
With her bookstore come pub in the safe hands of her grandfather Jaycee offers to help her younger sister. Jax is trying to build her chocolate business off the ground by selling her chocolates at the local winery, Jaycee over hears an argument while Jax is in her interview. When she her chocolates are a great success the sisters return to make there first delivery and find more than they bargained for when they find the lady that was in the heated argument dead. Was the man arguing with her the killer? Having watched every crime show or murder mystery film on tv Jaycee knows that her mother won't want to be left out of a real mystery and if her mother is involved so will the rest of the book club members. But investigating won't be easy with both the detective in charge and her grandpa telling her them stay out of it. But when another body turns up connected to the winery they start to fear for Jax's safety and resolve to get to the bottom of the mystery, even if the only way to do that is to get to the bottom of a few wins bottles .
I liked the narrator and thought she did a good job giving a voice to the characters.
