Publisher's summary

A snowbound country mansion, a missing butler, and a Christmas case...

Olive and Jasper have never been closer - except for one thing. Jasper is still reticent about his frequent disappearances from polite society. With the holidays approaching and no paying client on the books, Olive decides to shadow Jasper when he’s unexpectedly called away. Her search brings her to Holly Hill Lodge where an eclectic group has gathered to celebrate an old-fashioned English Christmas.

The guest list includes a celebrated lawn tennis champion, a fussy scientist studying snowflakes, a persuasive luggage salesman, a famous lady traveler, and the family’s eccentric aunt who has a fondness for the newfangled drinks called cocktails.

When the butler goes missing, Olive and Jasper must work together to solve the Christmas crime - as well as the secret Jasper hides. Murder on a Midnight Clear is the latest installment in USA Today best-selling author Sara Rosett’s popular High Society Lady Detective series.

Unwrap this 1920s Christmas mystery with all the trimmings - carols, a Yule log, plum pudding...and murder.

Love Sara Rosett Mysteries

All of the mysteries by Sara Rosett are worth a listen. My favorite series is "On The Run" series.
But all of her books are clean ,fun and good mysteries. Narrator is very good.
I Will continue to watch for more to come from this author.

Very enjoyable historical cozy mystery!

I have been keeping up with this series! I love the narrator. She sets the tone nicely and has a lovely accent that goes along with the story and it’s setting. This novel has a nice Christmas theme and of course a mystery to solve! I love how Jasper we get to know him better. It’s taking long enough! Looking forward to more of Jasper and Olive!

This was a lovely Christmas holiday mystery murder. Olive’s story continues along with her deepening relationship with Jasper. Love these books!

Brilliant

I have loved every book in this series, to date, and this one was no exception. However, I have come to the realization that I enjoy the world and characters Sara Rosett has created so much, I may have failed to give adequate recognition to the actual mysteries. They are brilliantly plotted and written, usually including multiple discoveries that may or may not be related, and Ms. Rosett has proven herself to be a master at misdirection. In this 6th outing, the curtain is pulled back to give us a better view of Jasper's life and an interesting view it is. In addition to the mystery and the revelations about Jasper, what I loved most in this book is the trust and communication between Olive and Jasper. Early on, and several times throughout, there is ample opportunity for what I call the "Hallmark misunderstanding" when one member of a couple sees something and makes assumptions without discussing it with the other leading to unnecessary anger and heartache. Thankfully, that is not the case with our two main characters, and I am so thankful. Olive and Jasper are embarking on new and different ventures, personal and professional, and I cannot wait to tag along.

I always enjoy a good chritmas mystery

I am sad that I didn't listen to this at Christmas but the next best time was while we were traveling around England right near Chipping Baskam. I could imagine Olive motoring around the narrow English roads. Great book. I have really come to care for Jasper and Olive and love that their relationship took the next step.

The narrator is perfect with all the different voices for everyone. These are great books to listen to and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Favorite thus far!

This one has been my favorite in the series. I enjoyed the murder mystery but I loved that Jasper was featured more! I hope Olive and Jas’s romance develops in the upcoming books.
