Publisher's summary

Former lawyer Nicole Fitzhenry-Dawes thinks she'd be happy to spend her life making maple syrup and never take part in another murder investigation again. At least, she thinks so right up until the photographer she hired dies on the tour she's leading, and the main suspect is her friend's niece, Holly.

When Holly disappears as well, Nicole faces what looks like a locked-room mystery. One of the people on the tour must have committed the crime, yet none of them could have done it.

To keep an innocent woman from going to prison, Nicole's thrown right back into the midst of another hunt for a killer. A killer who knows exactly where she lives....

Fun little mystery

Great book, enjoy the author's work. Mystery is well told, Emily James keeps the listener/ reader guessing in the story. Can't wait for the next entry.

So many more books in the series

These books are one of my favorite cozy mysteries, Nicole is conflicted by her education as a lawyer and her inheritances of a Sugar Bush from a beloved uncle. I really enjoy reading about the history and process of making maple syrup. These are fun books that get better the more I listen to them. But there are many more in the series.
Please, please, please bring the rest of the books (numbers 5-13) in this wonderful series to Audible. It’s really a let down when a series is only partially brought to Audible and then for some reason the remaining books are only available in paperback or ebook format. Many folks depend on Audible for their reading experiences. Thanks
