Christmas has arrived in sleepy McGill, Georgia, but holiday cheer can't keep temperamental Stella Reid from swinging a rolling pin at anyone who crosses her bad side.

This season, there are plenty. First, an anonymous grinch vandalizes a celebrated nativity display. Far worse, the scandalous Prissy Carr is found dead in an alley behind a tavern. With police puzzled over the murder, Stella decides to stir the local gossip pot for clues on the culprit's identity, and it turns out that Prissy held a prominent spot on the naughty list. Awesome Book!

I have listened to all of the Savanah Reed Books & have yet to be disappointed. This one was no different ... absolutely wonderful! I love this family!

Great book

I love Granny Reid. We need more love and caring and cleverness like hers. A smart heroine with compassion and good teaching for her grandkids but not a push over. The publishers summary was written by someone who had not read the book. I listened to a sample from my library. Glad I did because it was from the prologue not the middle of the book like Audible. I fell in love with Granny immediately. Can not wait for the next one. BTW I have not read the Savanah Reid books but started listening to the samples looking for more Granny. I was very disappointed. The Savanah from this book does not seem likely to grow up to be that woman. I guess we will see. Loved the narrator , Mil Nicholson- amazing!!!

I have been listening to this author for many years. This one was quite different, getting the perspective of Samantha Reid as a little girl and a younger more vibrant "Grannie". I love the sense of humor and the little subtle jibs...

Warmth and Wisdom, more than just a Cosy

This book is so kind and gentle, so sweet without being saccharine, that I am BEGGING the author to make this a continuing series. Mil Nicholson is truly perfection as narrator, making the characters easily differentiated and truly come alive with her performance. Listening to this book is not for someone who wants gripping suspense or edgy darkness - it’s a true cosy, leaving you happy and wanting to know more. And yeah, I just finished listening to it for the THIRD time in about 6 (rough) months. You got a problem with that?
