Publisher's summary

An unlikable guest who was abusive to his wife. A marriage in trouble. Someone thought he should be murdered. And he was.

Brett reminds Linc of a time when he could have prevented an abusive spouse from hurting his wife - a close friend - and he’s always regretted it. Did he regret it enough to do something about it years later?

Could it have been the B&B guest who found Amanda irresistible and her husband’s treatment of her frightening? Or even her loving father, worried about his only daughter? It’s up to Brigid and Sheriff Davis to find out just how abusive Brett was and who murdered him.

Plenty of dogs, recipes, and pause-resisting suspense in this, the ninth book in the Cottonwood Springs Cozy Mystery Series by a two-time USA Today best-selling author.

easy & quick read/listen

Dianne's stories are always easy to follow and to keep up with. there is never any confusion of characters or what's going on, so they are a nice easy read. The narrator does a good job as well. I enjoy the characters and following along their life through the series. Somewhere along the line we switched sheriffs and I dislike how this one talks, not the narrator, but the way he is written, like he's a big old redneck stereotype, but yet he has the smarts to be sheriff. That's really my only complaint in this series. I did guess who the murder was, but there was a twist to it so I didn't fully guess it.

An entertaining, simple cozy mystery

Murder at the New Dawn B&B is an entertaining but simple cozy mystery about a lousy husband that ends up dead. The dogs are cute. The story is clean, and no one is going to waste their time mourning the dead man.

The narrator does a nice job with bringing the book to life. Her voice suits.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Another great story

Murder at the New Dawn B&B is another great cozy mystery from this author. The story is well written and the characters are interesting. I love seeing some of the characters throughout the series...like visiting old friends. The narrator gave a nice performance.
