Personalities clash and Zoe’s family closes ranks as Sheridan attempts to unlock the carefully kept secrets of the family that owns and operates the Grill.

Only, asking questions can be hazardous to her health. The closer she gets to finding the truth, the more her own life might be in danger. Sheridan’s self-defense classes are put to good use as she eliminates suspects. But her involvement strains her increasingly serious relationship with Detective Brett McMann. Are some secrets better left untold? Join Sheridan and her friends as they search to prove Zoe’s innocence and identify the killer, who is determined to stop them.

Some families can be fatal!

Murder at the Grill is the 3rd in the Cold Creek Mysteries by Christa Nardi. College professor and amateur sleuth Sheridan Hendley decides to help the defense attorney representing her favorite waitress accused of killing her ex-husband at the family’s restaurant. There are tangled family dynamics and everyone is keeping secrets. Meanwhile, while Sheridan is trying to help, she’s attacked multiple times, her home and car are vandalized, she is threatened by a poisonous snake and harassed over the phone. I don’t think many could survive all that! The book is well written and there are a lot of twists and turns. I like the development of the characters and their relationships. The narration by Alyssa Baumann is excellent. She brings the story to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

Another Murder Solved

Christa Nardi has two fantastic book series that virtually everyone would enjoy reading. This is the third book in her newest series that looks to be as good if not better than the first two. If you enjoy murder mysteries check out Christa Nardi books. Great plot and character development. Looking for my next one.

family can be lethal

Many of these family members were like vipers in a nest waiting to strike. They all seemed to circle the wagons to keep their dirty secrets a secret until death. A good who done it I'd recommend. My only complaint is Sheridan's character taking on a martyr persona with people that outright attacked her and some with lethal aspects that could have killed Sheridan. The couple assaults were blown off too when asked if she wanted them prosecuted. Then when it's over, she asks about charges - wth!!
It's not a reasonable response to abuse, aggression ,or assault to just turn a blind eye to these crimes. She asked about it too late , imo. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion . The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Food can be murder

Murder at the Grill is book 3 in the Cold Creek Mystery by Christa Nardi. I really enjoy that each book in this series is both a new mystery with a core group of characters and characters new to the story. Also, each book is a logical grown and a continuation of the overall series. Sheridan and Brett are growing in their relationship and she meets his daughter, Madison. Zoe's exe husband drops dead at the Grill and all fingers are pointing to her. Sheridan and Kim are busy with their sleuthing skills and the killer doesn't stand a chance. I believe that Christa Nardi writes such good mysteries, but, she can also tell a great story. This book and series should be on everyone's TBR or listened to list!

Excellent! I loved It!

When waitresses Zoe’s ex shows up for dinner at the Grill and makes a royal pest of himself, EVERYONE wants him gone PRONTO! The last thing anyone expects is for the pesky ex to leave feet first, toes up! When suspicion falls on Zoe, it’s up to Sheridan to help clear her friend, hopefully before someone else clears Sheridan out permanently! Filled with action, mystery, suspense, and an interesting twisty plot, “Murder At The Grill” is sheer delight! The characters I’ve come to know, love, and cheer for are back! I am loving the way this unique bunch are “gelling” as this series continues, with the emphasis on unique! They are delightfully different from each other and beautifully defined and developed! There are the odd few that are deliciously irksome, which for me only makes their interaction all the more intriguing, wondering what their future might hold! No spoilers! For now, their identities remain my secret. The plot is fantastic! Filled with intrigue, secrets, surprises, action, and those breath robbing, edge of your seat moments this mystery-thriller lover lives for, I was a happy listener indeed! Speaking of happy listening, this story is brought to life by crystal clear, beautifully emotive narration that truly made the author’s vision a reality! I loved “Murder At The Grill” and I can’t wait for the next book! Five fabulous stars!

Did the waitress do it?

This is the third in the series. It is a standalone story but you may want to read them in order to get the character development. I listened to this on Audible. What I really enjoy about this series is the sleuth is not “Too Stupid To Live (TSTL).” She does not go out of her way to put herself in danger. The police that she knows are always cautioning her and her friends and are there to resolve sticky situations.

Sheridan Hendley jumps at the chance to work with the defense of a favorite waitress, Zoey, is arrested for the murder of her ex-husband. There are plenty of twists and turns to make this a very worthwhile cozy mystery.

I am looking forward to the next book. I was given an advanced e-copy of the book. I am not required to leave a positive review.
