Surprise Murder

This is my 2nd book by author and was better than the 1st. I really enjoyed the characters of Logan, Ran, Rose and Frank. Logan is accused of murder of some of the characters and she does some of the investigating on her own and getting into deeper trouble especially with Batty, it also had a surprise about the killer, it has good narration. Cannot wait until next book I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

A great skeletons in the cupboard kind of story :)

It's the second book by Ms Engle that I listened to and I liked it even better than the first one:) The story is really fast paced, with lots of twists and turns you expect in a good mystery. The murder plot is very well thought out, very logical and intriguing, and the solution quite surprising though macabre, when you think of it...:) The characters are well written - you like most of them, you immediately hate some others telling yourself 'aha, these are the bad guys', and yet you have that nagging feeling that something is not completely right, but you can't really pinpoint what until the very end... Very well done, indeed:) Naration by Ms Hazen is great, as usual. As always, the characters are immediately recognizable, each having a unique voice matching their personality, and the narrative parts are very well read with that perfect balance between the emotional and the descriptive... Excellent plot and character development

I enjoy mysteries that don't get lost in graphic gore, which usually doesn't add anything except shock value with no increase in quality of the story. The author created an environment where I was able to visualize the events as they happened and as they were investigated. The narrator is one of my favorites and I find myself browsing for new audiobooks based on her narration. She didn't disappoint. I will continue to follow this author and narrator

A Great Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and extremely enjoyable. Logan is ready to move on with her life and the photo exhibit featuring her deceased husband is the start of it. The exhibit goes better than expected and now Logan can truly start the school Luke and her dreamed of, that is until people start dying and she's blamed. Well written character and a fast moving suspenseful plot will draw you in and keep you listening far longer then you intended. The combination of author and narrator makes it very enjoyable. Looking forward to the next book.

Captivating Listen

Murder at Mount Joy by Nancy Engle immediately pulled me into the book by the excellent narration and storyline. The characters are well developed and the mystery is so good. I loved the imagery the author wrote. The ending was very satisfying. Kelley Hazen was wonderful bringing the characters to life with her voice. I could easily hear who was speaking and visualized so much.
