Anne has been bitten by the travel bug. Again. Would South America heal her?

She and her husband Peter begin their epic journey high in the Andes in Quito, Ecuador when Anne encounters a young couple—one miserable and the other clueless. Will this serendipitous happenstance change each woman’s life?

While Baby Boomers Anne and Peter commune with Blue-Footed Boobies and one-hundred-year-old tortoises in Ecuador’s Galápagos Islands, then explore ten thousand foot mountains in Machu Picchu in Peru, Millennials Reza and Nico embark as well on an adventurous feat exploring both countries.

Filled with humor, culinary eye-openers, cultural faux pas, exhausting treks and fascinating history of the Incas, a sinister side story is evolving.

Where do Anne and Reza’s travels intersect again? An innocent accident? A murder? A suicide-murder pact? Secrets are disclosed and discoveries are revealed.

Travelers and booklovers alike will feel transported when reading this delightfully clean, cozy page-turner, staying engaged until the end.

The robo pausing, pronunciation, and stressing on incorrect syllables is distracting and got worse as I got farther into the book. The story seems more like someone’s diary of a trip than a murder mystery. Very detailed about surroundings, scenes, everything they learned about their trip from guides and books. A true travelogue. I was looking for such a book (travelogue of this particular trip) so am trying to get through it even though the characters are almost a side note to the descriptions of the daily itinerary. Doesn’t anyone listen/direct the robot and adjust the recording to make it more like actual human so each?

Robot reading is not good.
