Sweet Mysteries Series Keeps Getting Sweeter...

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. I keep enjoying Meredith Pott's Mysteries Series. She is able to convey the personalities of the characters so well without lengthy explanations. The stories are sweet in more ways than one... The only problem I see with her books is that by the time I finish listening to them, I get a craving for a sweet threat... Not great on my waistline... In the story "Murder and Chocolate Cake", Sabrina once again unravels a puzzling mystery, in which she tries to track down an escaped convict. What's more the jail bird is her sister's murderer, an event that resurrects painful memories. Great twists and turns throughout the plot. The narration by Carrie Burgess is excellent and I enjoyed her interpretation of the various characters. If you like cozy mysteries then this book is for you.

Twists and turns throughout!

I really enjoyed the narration of this murder mystery. The storyline is fantastic, and continues to build through the whole book. Easy to listen to and very engaging.

Don't let the length fool you!

This cozy by Meredith Potts is one of my favorites of her series! I love the Daley Buzz series, and this take on Sabrina and David years later is so much fun. Now that these two have taken on many cases over the years, it's no wonder that one..or two...would come back to haunt them. When Kyle, the murderer of Sabrina's sister breaks out of jail with Wade, another criminal they put away, Sabrina and David are determined to find them. I love revisiting old characters, but I was surprised when this was the plot and I couldn't wait to see how these two would finally catch the two and put them back where they belong! It's a great story, lots of good scenes with characters we have grown to love. I think this is one of the best so far and Carrie Burgess does a great job with the narration. Can't wait to see what these two end up solving next!

Enjoyable Listen

Murder and Chocolate Cake by Meredith Potts pulled me in with its vivid imagery. This is a short listen that has lots to it. I loved how the storyline was original. The concept of criminals going for retribution seemed a little far fetched, along with Sabrina's involvement in the investigation, yet so enjoyable. My favorite scene in the book was the mystery room with their daughter using deductive reasoning to figure a way out. The narration by Carrie Burgess was well done. She added the right emotions. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Jail Should Be Forever

When a pair of jailbirds with a personal grudge against Sabrina and David escape, the pair go to work to track them down and make sure they get their just desserts. This one's a cute, not too heavy detective mystery with good pacing and engaging characters - short and easy on the ears (or eyes if you're reading the print version) and perfect for those days when you don't want a dark murder mystery or a scary suspense story.

Keeping Family Safe

This case has Sabrina and David more concern, not only wanting to keep Treasure Cove the town safe. Now when 2 criminal have escape, it is a concern to safely protect there family. Once that done can they solve, the men are probably wanting revenge for putting them in prison. Given ARC audio and the narration was good for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

An escaped prisoner on the loose!

Wade Becker, the escapee, is on the run from the law, and since Sabrina put him there in the first place, he has her wondering where he will pop up. Not willing to be a victim, she turns the tables on him and begins searching for him. Great little book!
