Publisher's summary

Who says honeymoons aren't dangerous? This one was murder! Private investigator Tom Logan and his girlfriend Rita finally tie the knot, choosing a turn-of-the-century beach resort on Coronado Island as their ideal honeymoon escape. Unfortunately what begins as a romantic getaway, ends suddenly with murder. A best-selling author is brutally killed on the night of a mystery writers' convention, and Logan is forced to postpone their plans when drawn reluctantly into the case. During the course of the investigation, Logan meets an odd assortment of suspects that include: a soon-to-be ex-wife seeking monetary compensation, a jealous husband whose wife may be having an affair with the author, the writer's male secretary who's subservience to his boss was wearing thin, a lady mystery author with an agenda all her own, and a pair of publishers whom the writer accuses of plagiarism. A famous actor who plays a detective on the screen also makes a surprise appearance, as does a hotel ghost who just refuses to check out. Matching wits with a vengeful killer is what Logan does best, and he does exactly that in Murder Is Such Sweet Revenge.

GOOD READ

MURDER IS SUCH SWEET REVENGE BY TONY PIAZZA is the second in the Tom Logan PI series.
The scene: Coronado Island where Tom and his lady, newly married wife Rita are supposed to be on their honeymoon. Unfortunately a murderer had other ideas. Tom is forced into investigating and the closer to the truth Tom comes, the faster the body count rises.

This was a good mystery starting out but it could have been cut much much shorter. I found that whole chapters could have been deleted and would have made the storyline flow a little better. The performance of the narrator as with the first audible recording was still mono toned .

I recieved this audio book free in exchange for an honest review.

MURDER IS SUCH SWEET REVENGE AUDIBLE.COM

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES, I HAVE MANY TIMES. THIS BOOK IS AN EXCEPTIONALLY WELL WRITTEN MYSTERY AND TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO LOVE A REALLY GOOD "WHO DONE IT" I AM THRILLED TO RECOMMEND THIS WORK TO THEM BY TONY PIAZZA.

Who was your favorite character and why?

SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM, I THINK M. J. HARRISON( THE HORSE FACE PUSHY NOVELIST) WAS MY FAVORITE. SHE'S A GREAT CHARACTER AND GOES WELL IN A MYSTERY THRILLER.

What does James Romick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

OH, SO MUCH! HE HAS SUCH A WAY WITH ACCENTS AND SUCH A SOOTHING VOICE, I FIND I NOTICED MUCH MORE OF THE STORY PLOT LISTENING TO JAMES READING EACH LINE TO ME.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES, I WANTED TO, BUT HAD TO LEAVE IT FROM TIME TO TIME TO DO OTHER THINGS. BUT IT WAS SUCH FUN TO COME BACK TO EACH TIME.

Any additional comments?

THE MAIN PLEASURE OF A TONY PIAZZA NOVEL IS THE WAY TONY GOES ABOUT DESCRIBING EACH CHARACTER AND LOCATION AS WELL AS BUILDINGS AND ROOMS IN HIS STORY, IN THAT WAY WE BECOME SUCH A PART OF HIS DETAILED ACCOUNT THAT WE BECOME A PART OF HIS STORY. TO SEE IT SO CLEARLY IN OUR MIND'S EYE, PEAKS THE INTEREST OF THE READER ENORMOUSLY.
