Later, he shows us the aging pope grappling with the post-9/11 world order and teaching new lessons in dignity through his own suffering.

He's a formidable foe who wants to snatch us away from God, and the thought of doing battle with him can seem daunting. Even so, the saints who have gone before us have engaged the Devil, armed with the power of Christ and emerged victorious! These fellow warriors in heaven now fight on our behalf.
Why were the early Christians willing to die rather than change a single iota of the creed? Why have the Judeans, Romans, and Persians - among others - seen the Christian creed as a threat to the established social order? In The Creed: Professing the Faith Through the Ages, best-selling author Dr. Scott Hahn recovers and conveys the creed's revolutionary character.
Fr. Robert Barron's comprehensive work goes straight to the core of the Catholic faith. He first examines the foundations of Christ's incarnation, life and ministry, and then works through the essentials of the Catholic tradition: from sacraments, worship and prayer, to Mary and the saints, and on to salvation, heaven and hell. Throughout this epic journey, Fr. Barron uses art, literature, personal stories, Scripture, theology, philosophy and history to present a complete picture of the Church to the world.
Will Wilder is a mischievous, headstrong 12-year-old with an otherworldly gift - he alone can see the nefarious creatures encroaching on Perilous Falls. For nearly a century, a sacred relic has protected his hometown from the raging waters surrounding it. But when Will "borrows" the relic for his own purposes, he accidentally unleashes an ancient evil. As boats sink and hideous creatures crawl from the rising waters, Will must set things right before it is too late.
Here is the best of the audio from the famous Catholic television program, "Life is Worth Living!" For more than 30 years, Archbishop Fulton Sheen was the voice of the Catholic Church, with his radio and television ministries that touched hearts all over the world. His wisdom and gentle insight are once again available in digitally remastered audio recorded from his live programs.
Of all things Catholic, there is nothing that is so familiar as the Mass. With its unchanging prayers, the Mass fits Catholics like their favorite clothes. Yet most Catholics sitting in the pews on Sundays fail to see the powerful supernatural drama that enfolds them. Pope John Paul II described the Mass as "Heaven on Earth," explaining that what "we celebrate on Earth is a mysterious participation in the heavenly liturgy."
Angels and saints. Catholics tend to think of them as different from the rest of us. They're cast in plaster or simpering on a holy card, performing miracles with superhero strength, or playing a harp in highest heaven.
Yet they are very near to us in every way. In this lively audiobook, Scott Hahn dispels the false notions and urban legends people use to keep the saints at a safe distance. The truth is that Jesus Christ has united heaven and earth in a close communion. Drawing deeply from Scripture, Dr. Hahn shows that the hosts of heaven surround the earthly Church as a "great cloud of witnesses".
Teresa of Avila's Interior Castle is one of the most celebrated books ever written by a mystic on abiding in union with Christ. Writing in obedience to the requests of two of her superiors, the humble 16th century Spanish sister protests "...for the love of God, let me get on with my spinning and go to choir...like the other sisters...I am not meant for writing; I have neither the health nor the wits for it."
In the appealing conversational tone that has won him millions of devoted readers, Hahn presents the basic tenets of Church teachings, clears up common misconceptions about specific rituals and traditions, and responds thoughtfully to the objections raised about them. Each chapter concludes with loving, good-natured, inspiring advice on applying the Church's wisdom to everyday life.
Well-known Catholic theologian Dr. Scott Hahn explains Christ's Paschal sacrifice on the cross as the fulfillment of the traditional fourth cup used in the celebration of Passover, drawing symbolic parallels to the Last Supper and Christ's death on Calvary. Through his scholarly insights and important biblical connections, Mass will come alive for you as never before!
In A Father Who Keeps His Promises, the popular Catholic apologist Scott Hahn focuses on the “big picture” of Scripture: God’s plan in making and keeping covenants with us throughout salvation history—despite our faults and shortcomings—so that we might live as the family of God.
Born Rita Rizzo in Canton, Ohio, Mother Angelica was abandoned by her father and raised in poverty by a mother who suffered suicidal depressions. Awakened to the power of prayer, at age 21 Rita vowed to dedicate her life to God and become a cloistered nun. She expected to spend her life hidden from the world. But Rita's faith compelled her to unlikely endeavors, accomplishing what the highest echelon of the Catholic Church could not.
This engrossing biography traces Mother Angelica's tortured rise to success and exposes for the first time the fierce opposition she faced, inside and outside of her church. It is an inspiring story of survival and proof that one woman's faith can move more than mountains.
Great book, fun quotes and narration. Amazing stories within the story. A triumph of a tale!

Compelling story of true faith that God shall provide. I especially liked the fact Mother never worked with a budget because it it would limit her donations. Simply amazing how all of Mothers projects like launching two international media entities ( cable station EWTN and radio WEWN) without one dime from the church then go onto to build a 50 million dollar monastery in Alabama of all places!
I admire her tenacity to stand up to US bishops and how she refused to give up her devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist. Honestly Mother Angelica was a modern day disciple of Christ. Hearing her story is truly faith confirming to me as a recent RCIA and Extraordinary Minister student. She exemplifies what it means to evangelize and devote your life to Jesus.
A trip to Alabama is on my bucket list because of her story. Thank you Mother for all you've done to preserve the first church of Christ.

I had my doubts about Raymond Arroyo as the narrator; however, he does a splendid impersonation of Mother Angelica. I simply cannot recommend this enough. If you haven’t read Mother Angela’s story you cannot pass up the opportunity to listen to the audio format.
It's 1:31am and I've just finished this wonderful book. Being disabled and in bed almost all the time now, not much holds my attention anymore. I began listening to EWTN when St John Paul II passed. That night I decided to become Catholic and I've never looked back. My mom passed from lung cancer in 1994 and Mother Angelica became my "mom" and one of my angels. I began watching Raymond Arroyo when I accidentally turned and he was interviewing a mother who's son was very I'll with a horrible, debilitating disease that took the lives of his three siblings. I ordered the book the next day. Long story short, I've never cried so much in my life as I have since becoming Catholic and now I realize that after reading/listening to this wonderfully narrated book that there are two angels involved here. Mother Angelica and Raymond Arroyo. Thank you Mr Arroyo for writing such a magnificent story about whom I believe will one day be a saint. Every word was written with everything in you. I'm so proud to tell people I know about these two angels and no matter how long God will give me I'll cherish future readings and events that involve you Mr Arroyo. You painted Mother with every ounce of love you have. Anyone who doesn't read or better yet use the audio for this book is like missing out on all the good things in this world. God gave you a gift made of pure gold. Keep shining Mr Arroyo!
Thank you thank you thank you Mother & Raymond & EWTN & all who supported Mother & EWTN. I love Mother’s humble humanness & Italian feist😁 I love & appreciate this book. It has helped me in my Feisty Irish walk with Jesus. I love her adoring love for our Heavenly Father.💜🙏💜
This book was so wonderful and Raymond as the narrator made it even more wonderful!
The life of Mother Angelica was certainly led by God and she followed eagerly and intentionally. Her story, as told by Raymond Arroyo, brings Mother's passion, suffering and joys alive as if your are talking directly to Mother. Thank you Raymond, for taking up this call. As a result, her life's message reaches even more people.
Wonderful book, with an entertaining delivery! Mother Angelica will continue to touch lives through this book.
You want be disappointed. The story of a very human, flaws and all, women with unfailing faith in our Lord. The narration is so spot on you'll think it's Mother Angelica herself!
This audible book was one of the best stories I have ever heard. Mother Angelica was truly a servant of God. Thank you for sharing her story.
