Publisher's summary

To say Hannah Thatcher-Miles loathes Liam Park is an understatement. He is arrogant, rude, and much to her dismay—completely irresistible. For the most part he has been avoidable, until she finds herself desperate and has to accept a position at his father’s law firm…as his assistant.

Liam has begun taking on more responsibility at Baker & Park. With new responsibility comes a new assistant, but Liam could have never predicted that it would be none other than the life-long bane of his existence and the daughter of his dad’s best friend, Hannah.

Now that they’re both in Hannah’s brother’s wedding and have to spend every day together at work, it’s impossible to escape one another. With tensions at an all-time high, Liam is realizing that maybe he doesn’t hate Hannah as much as he used to, if he ever really did at all.

Temptation leads to crossed lines, leaving Hannah and Liam with an impossible question to answer. Are love and loathing really just a sliver apart?

All the troupes in a fun and easy to read book.

"I want you. Just you. Just us. I don't share"

A spicy Rom-Com where long time enemies transform into lovers, and the irresistible allure of a brother's best friend takes center stage when Hannah is forced to have Liam as her boss. This book packs a punch with Hannah delivering a touch of brattiness and a whole lot of confidence, making it a a fun read that is balanced with wit and sass. Savannah Thomas hit it out of the park with the narration, drawing you into the magnetic dynamics between characters.

Jane, the main female boasts a iron-clad backbone in most aspects of her life—except when it comes to her family, now must face the complex reality of her past with Liam, her brother's best friend, as he steps into the role of her boss. Watch the layers of their past unravel as you learn the reason of friendship turn to enemies as the plot unfolds with natural tension and complexities. The story hits all the troupes we love and the writing allows for an easy and quick read.

Steamy and Dreamy

I really enjoyed this book and the banter between the two “enemies” and the delightful realization of how they actually are not enemies at all.

Narration was great! Savanah Thomas did a great job at differentiating all the different voices with ease.

This is book two but is absolutely a standalone story. It touches on some of the things that happened in book one, but nothing you would feel lost in. However I recommend also listening to Second Chance Vacation eventually.

What a fun story!

I listened to this on audio and I was pleasantly surprised!

Savannah Thomas does a fantastic job at voicing both the FMC and MMC in this dual POV enemies to lovers romance! I’m usually not a fan of a female voice for the MMC but Savannah does a fantastic job. It is not overdone and didn’t feel forced at all!

Liam and Hannah had a phenomenal dynamic and I loved that they had history prior to the timeline that needed to be resolved!

I am a sucker for character development in a story and both Hannah and Liam had great development over the course of the story.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story and definitely recommend it in either written or audio format!

Spicy and exciting!

What a whirlwind romance from the very beginning! At first, I wasn't sure what to think about the relationship between Hannah and Liam, but it was evident after diving in that there was something spicing up between them. They fought it for a long time but after their relationship takes a turn, there was no fighting it. It was wonderfully written and just spicy enough! The audio narration was top notch! Great book!

Contemporary Romance

This book is a contemporary romance with rivals to lovers, brother's best friend, workplace romance tropes. Hanna has been trying and failing to become a successful play actress when she gets an offer for a job at the law firm her brother works at. She begrudgingly accepts, and on her first day she discovers he shares an office with the man she hates the most: Liam Park.

Hanna, her brother and Liam all grew up together. Their parents are best friends and they have a lifetime of shared memories. As Hanna and Liam were coming into their adult years, their teasing banter became actual animosity, the reasons for which are revealed later in the story.

As the story goes on and they are forced to work so closely together, old feelings of attraction begin to come back for both of them. There is lots of on-page spice and plenty of drama to keep you entertained.

The narrator did a great job, she kept my attention on the book from start to finish and I would happily listen to another book she has narrated. Great job to both the author and the narrator.
