Publisher's summary

Mortgage free, mortgage payoff & retirement planning.

If you, like me, are tired of living a life of undue financial strain, then this book is for you!

I distinctly remember sitting down at the end of every month and trying to make sense of the figures in front of me. It was always exasperating and wearisome. No matter how hard I tried to make things work, something would turn up that would disturb my whole budget.

Until I finally paid off my monthly mortgage, it felt like a drain on my soul and energy.

I am sure that many people can relate to this feeling.

Mortgages are painful but unavoidable realities of our lives. Most of us have to take some sort of loans to get our dream houses or cars. In such cases, getting into mortgages is easy, but taking them to full term is not. Month after month is an ordeal.

Having experienced this ordeal firsthand, I put together this book, which is a comprehensive guide that can help you avoid the hassle that comes with a mortgage.

Most mortgage help books that I have read were filled with market jargon and economic terms that I didn't understand. Hence I have made a conscious effort to write this book in layman's terms so that everyone can understand the implications of mortgages and how to get rid of them.

From selecting a suitable plan to following it to its successful completion, this book has you covered!

Good but basic

This book contains some useful information if you have not been through the process of buying a house or if you are looking for some basic tips on how to put more money towards your principle. As someone who has bought and sold several homes, it was a bit too basic for me but I still took away a couple of good reminders. The narration is adequate and It's a pretty quick listen as well.

Very Informative..

Any additional comments?

The book starts off a little slow with the author tantalizing the reader about living the life they want, while also, paying off debt and saving for vacations.

The author basically goes over strategies on how to organize your finances with spread sheets and lists.
Then she used her own mortgage amount as an example, explaining how much money was needed per year to pay off the mortgage in five years.
She also listed a couple of websites to earn extra income.

If you are struggling with bills or if you just need a money managing reminder,
this book was very informative, I highly recommend it.

K.W. Keene did ok as a narrator.

Good for People Who Have No Mortgage

The first 35 minutes of this 49 min book was good advise for people who are just starting out in life. One part about the budget is good for everyone. All of the points made were points that I learned over my lifetime. I like the idea of paying the mortgage from a different account than you pay for everything else. The narrator was very good. I got this book in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook boom.

Some good Pointers if Buying a home

"Mortgage Free" was a pretty good book for home buyers that are taking out a mortgage. I think the best way to buy a home if at all possible is to take many or all of these steps BEFORE buying a home, saving and cutting corners, and trying to buy a home outright therefore eliminating a mortgage payment altogether. Rather than investing in the stock market, etc, saving money with all the suggestions this book has to offer and more then applying that money into home repairs on a fixer upper. But that's not always possible.

Let's go back to the book though. Say you take out a mortgage, then there are many great suggestions in this book on ways to save money such as separate bank accounts; one for mortgage payments and one for spending. Also cutting out unnecessary things such as fast foods, alcohol, and cigarettes. But cutting your data plan on your internet then trying to use the internet to earn extra money might not work. Just check out this book and take the good advice it has to offer. You can't really go wrong except use your spending account, not your mortgage account.

The narration by K.W. Keene was very well done.. He was upbeat and positive which worked well for this type of book. He spoke clearly and made it very understandable. A great job.
