Publisher's summary

This is a story about learning to be fearless and set your secrets free. An intense and gripping novel that will speak to fans of John Green and Jennifer Niven.

Rev works hard to keep the demons of the time before his adoption at bay...until a letter from his father after his 18th birthday brings the trauma of his childhood hurtling back. Emma escapes real life by perfecting the online game she built from scratch. Coding is way easier than facing her parents' nasty relationship or the growing distance with her best friend....

But when an online troll's harassment starts to escalate, she fears for her safety. When Rev and Emma meet, they're buckling under the weight of their secrets. Though both of them find it hard to put their problems into words, they connect instantly and deeply. Rev and Emma's problems might be worlds apart, but they promise to help each other no matter what. But promises are made to be tested, and some things hurt more than we can tell.

Flawless Flow to an Emotional Story

Two broken people help drive each other towards redemption, healing and growth. Are there more poignant and relevant topics as we push toward adulthood and navigate the final months and years of childhood. I think not,

Brigid Kemmerer is a master storyteller of family life and striving for better with each other. The narration by Stephanie and Jesse Einstein is flawless.

Another adventure!

I love Brigid Kemmerer’s writing. This is the sequel of Letters to the Lost. And while I was very happy to be getting more information, I found myself only liking the Rev chapters. Emma is written in a way that so that it’s very hard to like her. The story itself is worth the listen. I wish Juliet could have been in it for more then 5 seconds though!

A great sequel to Letters To The Lost

Brigid Kemmerer just gets these young people and can let us “older” folks in on the things they care about and deal with. Another outstanding book!

I want to devour all of Brigid’s Writing in One Sitting

I loved hearing Rev’s story and following along with him. I get lost in Brigid’s books each and every time I open one of them. Her writing is strong and her storytelling is emotional, relatable, and highly enjoyable.

Emotionally charged

Brigid Kemmerer did it again. This story had me on edge from the get-go and I was a tightly wound ball of emotions throughout. My heart ached for these well developed characters and I would have followed them anywhere.

Struggled to find its voice

Much of this novel seemed to take lines straight from Letters to the Lost. Rev's character was vocalized so poorly throughout I had a hard time listening to any of his parts. Average teenage angst but nothing remarkable to set this above the wide selection of YA novels.
