Publisher's Summary

Some would say that God will not put on a person more than they can bear, but Paige begs to differ because she is truly on the edge. One more unexpected and unpleasant occurrence and she'll be free falling. As if physical, mental, sexual, and spiritual abuse from her husband doesn't weigh heavily enough on her, Paige learns that her best friend and sister in Christ slept with her husband. Thank God for Norman, one of Paige's co-workers. He is there to catch her fall before she hits the ground. But will Norman be there when Paige receives news that may not only push her off the edge, but cause her to jump willingly?

In More Than I Can Bear, Paige must decide if she is going to allow herself to drown in the storms she finds herself in, or catch hold of the lifesaver God extends to her.

Good Book...need more Readers

I did not finish the book. It is hard listening to the same person read for so long, for all the characters in the book.

Worst Narrator EVER

This book had so much potential but between some corny lines and horrid narration it was a flop. The performer sounded like she was reading off a piece of paper no inflections in her voice and she didn't even attempt to make the characters sound different so sometimes you didn't know who she was portraying unless it was stated. Never again.

Just okay..

Good book with a good storyline, but the narration was not great. The narrator was mechanical which took away from the story itself.

good book poor narrator

I really enjoy reading the diva series by e.n.joy. unfortunately the narration of the story or the narrator was monotone and hard to follow. I could have done better reading and expressing the emotion of the story.

Great story

Overall, the story was good. However, the main character was a bit more dramatic than I like. We all go through life challenges that bend us over but the whole idea of cursing God is incredibly foreign to me and was hard to listen to.

Good Story

I am not convinced this voice meshes well with the story. The voice seems to match for a book with preppy debutantes. Other then that it was good.

Really disappointed with More than I Can Bear

The narrator of the book was very disappointing, there was no emotion in her voice you can tell she was reading. Also, way to many unnecessary details given in story, which made the story just drag on and on. Other books by E.N. Joy that I have heard were very enjoyable, however, I was disappointed on all levels with this one.

Disappointed

The story line is probably great, but the narrator spoiled it. There was no energy or performance. It was as if she was reading to a classroom of children. Instead of bringing the characters to life, she killed them, they all sounded the same. Multiple personalities with the same voice. Please re-do with a different narrator.
