Publisher's summary

Deep in the forest of the small village of Moon Hallow, beneath the roots of an ancient oak tree lives a small band of leprechauns. The wee leprechauns are only five to six inches tall. But don't let their size fool you; they have magical powers greater than the great Wizard of Ballydehob.

Oh, and for sure these lads just can't behave themselves. Creating mischief is always at the top of their list of things to do. Ah, the boys do love mischief. There's one thing that really gets them upset and that one thing is Halloween. Why, Quinn he's the eldest and leader of the band of leprechauns he can't even bring himself to say the word, "Halloween".

You may be wondering why Halloween upsets them so. Well, some say that it is the colors of black and orange that drives them crazy! Others say it's not the colors that upset them; it's all the attention that the ghosts, witches, black cats, and goblins get. Others quite simply think that they hate pumpkins. Some even think they don't like the rambunctious children playing tricks on Halloween because after all they are the masters of mischief and tricks.

Yes, that's the truth of it all. I really think our little band of leprechauns is an extremely jealous bunch. You see we've been lucky up until now. All the other years the leprechauns have been on pot of gold duty when Halloween came around. This year the boys are home. The lads are going to be home for Halloween and trouble is brewing. Everyone and everything in the forest and the Village of Moon Hallow is prepared for the worst. Everyone knows that the leprechauns are not going to miss this golden opportunity. This will be a Halloween like no other Halloween!

So there you have it. One can only imagine the very strange things that will happen this Halloween.

Cute Short Story

The tale of the mischievous leprechauns and their attitude towards Halloween is precious, simple, and cute. It clocks in at 30 minutes, a perfect length to help those young and old to
fall asleep. Kat does a delightful job narrating the story. A cute winner.
