Story
Long ago, the world fell into twilight, when the great empires of old consumed each other in sorcerous cataclysms. In the south, the Star Towers fell, swallowed by the sea, while the black glaciers descended upon the northern holdfasts, entombing the cities of Min-Ceruth in ice and sorcery. Then from the ancient empire of Menekar, the paladins of Ama came, putting every surviving sorcerer to the sword and cleansing their taint from the land. The pulse of magic slowed, fading like the heartbeat of a dying man. But after a thousand years, it has begun to quicken again.

Story
Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Mage Errant: Publisher's Pack contains books one and two of the Mage Errant series: Into the Labyrinth and Jewel of the Endless Erg. Hugh of Emblin is, so far as he's concerned, the worst student that the Academy at Skyhold has ever seen. He can barely cast any spells at all, and those he does cast tend to fail explosively.

Story
The ancient magic of wizards was anything but dark. It was the enlightenment that lifted humanity from the squalor of superstition, and the worship of fell spirits and capricious gods, but those days are gone. The shining glory of the sorcerers burned away the subtlety of wisdom, replacing it with easy power, held only in the hands of the elite - a new age built upon the elemental supremacy of aristocrats and the ignorance of the masses.

Captain Keyes is loved by the public but hated by Command. He captains the UHS Providence, an aging supercarrier and the last human ship not dependent on dark tech - technology humanity has used to rule over the galaxy since barely defeating the Ixa in the First Galactic War. Dominance has come at a cost. Over the decades, old allies have grown resentful, and when dark tech itself fails, Captain Keyes’ predictions start coming true: those old allies are now enemies.

Story
When Minalan the Spellmonger was exiled from his beloved mageland of Sevendor by Prince Tavard, his friend Duke Anguin made him Count Palatine of the Magelaw, a vast realm in the Alshari Wilderlands with which Minalan is all too familiar. After the goblin invasion, the province is devastated, ruined, and peopled almost only by freed slaves. But Minalan has brought his recovering wife and family into exile with him, and he views their impoverished fief as an opportunity to build a new City of Magi in the wilderness.

Great Story!
I was not sure at first that I could get into this book, but a couple of chapters in I was hooked. The story is fantastic! With the conclusion of each chapter, I could hardly wait for the next. It took me a Chapter or so to get used to and comfortable with the narration. The voice of the narrator is different than other audible books I have listened to. I actually grew to love her voice, with one exception. The voice used for Cassidy was a nasally, whining voice that bothered me every time she spoke. Cassidy is a main character and should sound confident, feminine and strong; however, it was really annoying. Again I would like to reiterate that the narration of every other remaining character was spot on! The other thing I did not particularly enjoy, was the music between Part One, Part Two, and at the end of the book. It was too long. Honestly, I skipped through the longest musical interlude at the very end after the interview with Palmer Pickering. By the way, I loved the interview with Palmer. That was a very nice touch! I can hardly wait to begin with Book Two!! At the possibility of sounding negative, I hope The voice of Cassidy sounds more confident in Book Two.

Unexpected, captivating
Of all places to find a home...the moon. An adventure, an escape from authorities, a world on the brink of being completely overtaken, and only one place left to find a home. Throw in kidnapping, treachery, deceit, and a mix of characters and you have a very good book. Nina Price narrated this gem, and brought it to life. Well done.
