Publisher's summary

When a leather parchment of Montezuma’s map is found in great-grandfather Evans’ old chest, April and the twins know this summer is going to be a memorable one. The girls want to search for it but their father is against it for some mysterious reason. With Julia’s help, she and the girls convince John to go on a treasure hunt. Is Montezuma’s treasure a legend or reality? Whatever the case, John insists on keeping their little treasure hunt a secret. If certain people find out about it, the family could be in danger.

I found this audiobook to be an extremely enjoyable listen. It has a great combination of mystery, drama and secrets. The narrator does a wonderful job of bringing each character out.

Suspense and Adventure

Montezuma Intrigue has adventure, suspense and intriguing too. Without the violence and gore. It even has a little romance. Didn't like the book cover, couldn't tell what the picture is supposed to be. This would be great to listen to as a family, because it's setting is with an adventures and fun family. However, pretty much anyone could enjoy it, and be anxious to continue listening to find out what happens next. Great mystery.
Montezuma Intrigue was especially interesting, to listen to the authors notes at the end. Some of the facts are true, they really did happen.

This Audible book was given to me free, for my honest review, which is seen here.

A clean suspense novel

A little slow to set up the story line in yhe beginning but stick with it because the middle and the ending are worth it. The narrator does a good job too.

Montezuma Intrigue

The Evans’ girls find an old trunk containing a treasure map belonging to their great-grandfather. The girls decided that they wanted to find the treasure. Their dad, John, had told them that no one else should not find out about the map. The discovery of the map somehow ends up in the newspaper and unfortunately a guy who has a grudge with Julia.

Nick is hired by Devlin to get the map from the girls so he decides to get close to one of the girls but he finds himself falling for her. He does end up finding out where they are going camping and follows them.
Follow the Evans’ family as they go on another adventure with twists, mishaps and humor!

MY THOUGHTS:
I also read books 1 & 2 and to me this book has a lot more romance in it, which to me gave it a different feel. While this book has lots of passion in it, it's a nice clean book. This book also focuses on the Evans’ girls more than John & Julia.

The author gave me a free copy of this book on Audible in exchange for an honest review.

1--chest 1-- map = an adventure

Montezuma Intrigue is Book 3 in The Adventure of John and Julia Evans. The enjoyable story begins in1926 when John and Charlie were miners. Fast forward to the present and Faith, April and Charlene decided to open an old family chest and they are excited to see what is inside. Among many things found inside is a map, Montezuma's map. The girls, with the help of Julia, talk John into going on a treasure hunt. But, not everyone wants the Evan's to b see successful. This series is very interesting and well written. The characters are believable and by book 3, they feel like book friends. Carolyn Kashner is outstanding in the narration. Can't wait to read book 4 and see what Julia and John get into next.

Interesting Read!

I enjoyed this book very much! I really like the way Linda Weaver Clark develops her characters and the delightful interaction between them!

This story has plenty of action and suspense that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. And watch out! As soon as you think something is resolved, there is a twist for a little more... much to Father John's frustration!

Carolyn Kashner, as a narrator, did a great job keeping vocals for each character separate. You can hear the emotions involved with each character clearly. She keeps the whole story running smoothly.

Exciting and suspenseful!

This is another riveting adventure with John and Julia Evans! I can't get enough of these stories, not only for the mystery, but the history and family that it centers around. This one does have John and Julia in it, but it centers more on their children as they get involved in the artifact findings. The story revolves around finding the treasure of Montezuma, and the search is full of intrigue and danger. Is it guarded? Does anyone else know about the map that will lead them to it? And if they do, will they all come out alive? Yes, this is exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. You don't know who to trust. But this is not what kept my interest. I loved the story of Cristina and Joshua's history. What a beautiful story comes out as we get a glimpse into the Evans family. It's beautiful, happy, sad and just full of love. We also get to see more of Matthew and April, and spend some time with the twins who are full of spunk! And the final surprise of Julia and John's heritage is sure to make you smile! It's hard to believe how life works, how small the world is and how family is so important! It's a great addition to this series!

Carolyn Kashner continues her narration, bringing it all to life. There are a lot of characters and circumstances, and she delves into each one, their own voice and personality. I found it completely entertaining and look forward to the next adventure.

Great Narration & Story

Montezuma Intrigue that once again comes alive with narration by Carolyn Kashner and with the intrigue and adventure from the author, .This has John and Julia as well as their children. An old man chanting as a prayer and was gone. A backpack was all he had would someone claim it and know who the man was. The adventure within a cave, was very real. A great series and the narration was great. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
