Publisher's Summary

"One test of the correctness of educational procedure is the happiness of the child." (Maria Montessori)

Would you like to educate your child according to the Montessori method? The Montessori method focuses on respect for the child's spontaneity and is the first to offer an alternative to the authoritarian education of that time.

And today? The Montessori method is increasingly current and increasingly used throughout the world, in all cultures.

These two audiobooks are an unmissable opportunity to get a brand new practical guide for parents, and also take into consideration some new approaches for today's children.

Here are a few things you'll learn with the first audiobook - A Practical Guide for Parents:

  • Why the Montessori method is better than the traditional one
  • Why the role of parents is fundamental for the child's independence
  • Why it is essential to accept the child for what he is
  • Why Montessori activities are stimulating for the child
  • How to create your Montessori activities

And here are a few things you'll learn with the second book - How to Make Home Child-Friendly:

  • Why is crucial thinking child-size
  • How to make cozy your spaces at home
  • How a living room, a bedroom, and other home spaces should be for your child
  • How to create an outdoor play house
  • Why sharing spaces are important
  • Why cluttering is indispensable

If you are a parent who cares about choosing a healthy, proven, and child-friendly method to educate your kids, this audiobook is just for you.

Very studious and intellectual

if you have very studious, intellectual parents this would be a good second book to have them read.
it’s chock full of information, theory, and concepts but lacking in audio to help convey those very things. I recommend it, but not as an introductory infant Montessori book.

It’s a good helpful book. I really enjoy the Monte

It’s a good helpful book. I really enjoy the Montessori method and it helped me prepare for my baby. It is a little overwhelming, but I think it is more for being a first-time mother with so much information.

The best book to get ready for baby

I enjoyed this book, it gave me a lot of helpful ideas. Yes, the tone is a bit condescending and it is clearly written for a wealthy or privileged audience. Some recommendations are just not within the average American family budget. None the less, it's easy to listen and I wish I had listen it before my son was born.

Finally... a modern, easy to follow, inspiring, and beautifully explained Montessori book. I can’t put it down (even though I’ve probably listen to it three times).

A really helpful guide.

A really helpful guide for raising toddlers with the principles of Montessori. I particularly found the activities and the timeline of when children (roughly) will be able to master these super helpful.

I would recommend this to any parent!

I would recommend this to any parent interested in Montessori. I feel like I have such a solid grasp on the Montessori method and how I can apply it in my own home after listening to this book. I have 3 kids ages 4 and under and another on the way. I gave up precious sleep to make time to listen to this... It's that good!

The book fascinated me every single page

The Montessori activities section of this book and the organizational strategies for around the house are really interesting and in my opinion the highlight. I was also looking for new (or new to me) concepts around gaining cooperation from children, but in this area, I felt as though the author lacked personal insight (which is odd). This section, chapter six, strongly listen like a cliff notes for the work of Joanna Faber and Julie King’s, “How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen,” almost section by section, tip by tip. If the listeners are looking for information in this area, I recommend Faber and King as a resource.

Glad to get this book!

I have over a decade of experience in Montessori and I sure wish I'd have had this when I was teaching! I would have loved to give this to my toddler parents. I've listened to dozens and dozens on Montessori books and this is by far one of the best. It's comprehensive without being too wordy. It's beautifully laid out. The author made Montessori feel much more attainable and understandable in the home than other authors have been able to do. This would be a fantastic gift and an essential resource for any parent looking to make the toddler years easier! Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me the chance to listen to a digital copy of this excellent book to share my honest opinions.

It will help you change some bad habits

This book is awesome. It will help you change some bad habits, declutter your house and have a better relationship with your kid. It also gives ideas on making your home more kid-friendly which allows kids to be more independent. Great ideas for activities for toddlers, too. Get it! listen to it! Keep it for reference!

Amazing, helpful!

Amazing, helpful, completely changed the dynamic of my relationship with my toddler and the feeling in our home. I’m by no means a by the book Montessori follower, but using the ideas and suggestions in this book has helped my toddler and me so much.
