A Terrifying True Story of Survival at Sea

In June of 1941, at the height of World War II, something ancient and terrifying surfaced in the Pacific... Good story, AI narration not great...

The story was entertaining and despite the virtual voice narration it was still quite good. Virtual voice makes me laugh because it cannot get inflection or even pronunciation right. What's sad is that so many people under the age of 50 have the same problem. The English language is being slaughtered!

Good story / Horrible narration

This could have been great if narrated by a human being. As it is with the AI narrator it was ruined.

A True story by AI ?

Okay the thing about AI narration is that it doesn’t understand where & when to place emphasis, or what feeling it should be preforming, or even what level of health it should sound like.
So, you have an energetic young American male reading you dialogue of a wretch dying of starvation & thirst on a drifting lifeboat.
This story also needs a deep husky sailor’s English accent as the antagonist taunts our hero by referring to him as “Yank”.
Still that peppy young man is giving us lines of…
“We’re still going to die out here.”
Making it sound like…
“We’re still going to the frat party.”
Needs work.
Of course, I heard humans give much worse performances.

This was enjoyable and kept me hanging on. So scary, sad and moving. I like this author's work.
