Publisher's summary

Molly Bloom reveals how she built one of the most exclusive, high-stakes underground poker games in the world - an insider's story of excess and danger, glamour and greed.

In the late 2000s, Molly Bloom, a twenty something petite brunette from Loveland Colorado, ran the highest stakes, most exclusive poker game Hollywood had ever seen - she was its mistress, its lion tamer, its agent, and its oxygen. Everyone wanted in, few were invited to play.

Hundreds of millions of dollars were won and lost at her table. Molly's game became the game for those in the know - celebrities, business moguls, and millionaires. Molly staged her games in palatial suites with beautiful views and exquisite amenities. She flew privately, dined at exclusive restaurants, hobnobbed with the heads of Hollywood studios, was courted by handsome leading men, and was privy to the world's most delicious gossip, until it all came crashing down around her.

Molly's Game is a behind the scenes look at Molly's game, the life she created, the life she lost, and what she learned in the process.

I'll bet the movie will be better than the book

Slow in development, but interesting story. it did drag in places. i am sure the screen play will bring more story lines.

This book was EXACTLY the same as the movie

I liked the movie so much I thought, I'll buy the book... however.. it was the same. Ordinarily the book is so much BETTER then the movie, because how could they ever for it all in? Still gave 5 stars because Molly is remarkable.

Inspiration and education. I think I fell in love with this lady a hundred times, on a hundred different levels.

I can’t even describe what this book is doing for me. Especially where I’m at in my own life, and journey. I love the book, and I have to meet this lady sometime!! 🙏

Wow! Loved it.

I didn’t think I’d enjoy this book nearly as much as I did! I loved it! I actually had a really difficult time putting my headphones down! Definitely recommend.

Better Than the Movie

For anyone that liked the movie, I highly suggest this book. Far more details with folks never mentioned in the movie, the timeline flows and Molly is a far deeper character.

Poker Princess survived and excelled

Would you consider the audio edition of Molly's Game to be better than the print version?

Didn't read print, listened to audio the day it came out.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Molly of course. Molly's high emotional intelligence enabled her to navigate in the world of the wealthy, powerful, and often spoiled individuals that she had to work with. A credit goes to both of her parents for her emotional and psychological development in their own distinct ways. A mentor like Reardon though is hard to find, although his acting out was at times over the top..

Which scene was your favorite?

When she told Toby McGuire she was not going to get up on the table and bark like a seal for a $1000 poker chip.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A glimpse into the lifestyles of the rich and bored.

Any additional comments?

Our true selves are not rooted in money is obvious by reading this book.
