Never Been Sicker #31 - Catching Her Breath, Interview with Kimberly Rose

  • Summary

  • Today’s guest is Kimberly Rose, a certified breathwork therapist and mold survivor. Kimberly’s unique experience with exposure-related toxicity started over a decade before she discovered that the root cause of her issues was living in a moldy environment. Since the discovery, she’s jumped from moldy environment to moldy environment and is now well aware of just how prevalent this indoor contaminant is and how difficult it can be to find a safe indoor space.

The saving grace that helped her get through the entire tumultuous experience was learning about and becoming an expert in breathwork. Between the gentle detox and the helpful mindset that this practice provided, she was able to survive living in these toxic environments and start down the path of healing. The road to recovery was bumpy, and it’s one she’s still attempting to navigate. But, by taking the steps she can when she can, Kimberly is well on her way toward her life-changing wellness goals.

    Today’s Talk:

In this episode, Michael Rubino sits down with Kimberly Rose to discuss her long and grueling battle with mold toxicity. Her experience shows how important it is to focus on the little steps and do what she can when she can. By first getting herself in the right and positive mindset, Kimberly has been able to help her body along the path of healing.

Her initial experience with mold, she believes, started after moving into a mildewy apartment in Nashville, Tennessee when she was 19. After living there for a short time, she began to develop debilitating migraines, which would then further develop into a list of chronic symptoms. Unfortunately, she said her situation was compounded by the Adderall-induced depression she continued to feel, coupled with heavy drinking.

It wasn’t until she randomly discovered breathwork that her life turned around. Slowly, her mindset changed and her health began to improve. Kimberly’s sister would later convince her to check for mold toxicity, and much to her surprise, there were high levels of mold in her body. Before the results, Kimberly had no idea that mold could cause any sort of adverse health reaction. Armed with the answer, she dove into figuring out how to heal her body and immediately jumped in.

Years later, she's now a certified breathwork coach and is using this technique, coupled with supplements and binders, to help maintain her health while living in a moldy environment until she has the finances to move out into a safer space. Using her experience, she’s dedicated her life to helping others with breathwork and surviving their own toxic environments. As she said, it can take a lot of money to figure out a health problem and just simply stay healthy. Her passion is to give these individuals as many economic resources as possible until they’re in a position to make bigger life changes.
