Currie harshly criticizes the idea of men maintaining disingenuous platonic friendships with women (what Currie refers to as "FunClubbin"), and he also points out that many men and women tend to exhibit behavior that is very duplicitous, dishonest, disingenuous, misleading, and manipulative when interacting with members of the opposite sex in today's dating scene.

Man, what a book!

I really like the subtitle of the book "let the woman know what you're really thinking". When I asked a woman who I'm romantically interested in to wear a skirt and she asked why? I told her that I wanted to have sex with her & it makes it easier to pull down the panties, she said she wanted to see if I had the balls to say it. I would've never told her that before listening to this audio book.

Life Changing Paradigm Shift

Love this book. Gonna reread it many more times. Once after each woman I sleep with.This beats other PUA books which complicate things. This book makes life a lot easier. I've been in Mode 2 for years. So just gonna lean into Mode 1 gradually. It is quite the transition but ultimately this form of honest self expression eliminates mode 4 behaviors and feelings. Great book to implement over the course of many months to milk it's full value. Really love it.

I want to profoundly personally want to thank Allen Roger Currie for being the mentor in helping me make this shift in my communication and getting the beautiful girl. I literally experienced results in the middle of the book thru application of Mode 1. God bless Mr. Currie. After this last romantic adventure I went back into similar situations in my life where I remember using Mode 1 communication and the women slept with me hours later after I asked them to. I've gotten stuck in mostly mode 2 and sometimes 3 but Mode 1 is the most effective. Beautiful book and philosophy, my life is an experience closer to heaven due to this golden wisdom. Gonna slowly shift into Mode 1, strong and effective communication style. Thank you Mr. Currie.

I wish I had learned this stuff in school!

Recently I was buying food in a store. While I was standing near the fruit/vegetable section, a hot girl came into my proximity to check the same section. I automatically turned to her and calmly said "You and I need to meet next week, which works better for you Tuesday or Wedness?". She almost jumped being a little shocked and flattered at the same time with this kind of straightforward approach, but then she instantly replied with "Neither one. I'm married". I smiled and said "Thanks for an honest answer. Wish you happy marriage!)".
Right after that her husband came round the corner from another section and she walked away with him.
I froze for a second and a thought: all of the created so-called "pickup products" that I've heard of (including the ones I'm closely familiar with) would easily fill the shelves of the fruit section... Some of the products would teach you to use something like "the magic boyfriend destroyer technique" or to take 25 secret steps to create attraction with this girl (while wasting 30 or more minutes of my time on that girl before she'd tell me she was married), and yet, I did the most natural and authentic thing a man can do - I expressed my interest to an attractive girl and I let her decide if she wanted to reciprocate. "But you got rejected! Isn't it a failure?" - some might say. With that married girl whose husband appeared round the corner 2 seconds after? C'mon, are you kiddin' me?:)
The biggest thing that I learned from Alan Roger Currie, the author of "Mode One: Let the Women Know What You're Really Thinking" is how to deal with rejection. Not only do you save time when you have a quick rejection, but you actually save yourself from getting involved with a wrong woman. So, as the adage goes, you really learn to look at rejection as “God’s protection”. When you realize that, rejection doesn’t feel that bad at all.
I’ll be honest: I thoroughly read Alan’s “Mode One” paperback more than 2 years ago. So, I pretty much learned about the 4 modes of verbal communication and the 4 types of women a long time ago. And I didn’t expect much of the audiobook.
To my surprise, I was wrong! Not only does the author actually combine the content of two of his books in this audiobook ("Mode One: Let the Women Know What You're Really Thinking" and “Upfront and straightforward”) instead of just one, he encourages the listener to better retain the learned stuff by taking notes. The author’s delivery shows his passion to help guys conquer their fears, achieve egotistical indifference and become their true authentic selves thus making them naturally attractive to women. At times Alan’s delivery is a little bit too intense (which, of course, only resulted by his overall passionate and charismatic personality), so I feel like I get back to school to a lesson with a teacher who required high concentration and commitment to the subject. But hey, unlike being on a lesson, you can pause the audiobook, take a break or even go out and make a couple of modeone approaches:)
Jokes aside, listening to the audiobook is like having the author’s personal 7+hour consultation. And what’s even better is that, unlike many other “dating gurus” on the market (who are often just interested in making a quick buck), Alan is there to help guys around the world via Skype and email consultations for very reasonable prices. That says something to me.
I found particularly interesting the audiobook’s section where the author answers the frequently asked question about the modeone philosophy. Hopefully, this section will resolve any misconceptions people (and especially men who are so-called “white knights”) may still have about modeone: the ones who may still think that modeone is about being crass and rude to women will finally realize that it’s actually about respectfully yet firmly and confidently expressing your true and authentic masculine self. It’s something women really need from us, men, these days!
Looking forward to the author’s second audiobook “Ooh..say it again”!

Put Away Childish Things

This book showed me myself and made me act on things that I’ve been wanting to change about myself and my life but couldn’t articulate, didn’t know where or how to start, or kept putting on the back burner or forgetting to do - basically fear. I put the methods in this book to immediate use and saw immediate results in how I felt about myself and how I carried myself, as well as in how (sometimes surprisingly) people understood and got on board with what I wanted to do. MODE ONE is a way of life, not simply a guide to navigating women, though it’s wonderful for that.

I read a lot of books, prolific, and I don’t comment much, and few move me to immediate action. This book deserves every accolade.

It's a little rough, the author and the content, which made me love it even more.

I'm listening for the second time, and will listen a third time to complete the assigned work in it. One of the best books for men. A lot of Red-Pill doesn't align with me, but the author's approach to total honesty is something I can totally embrace and endorse.

I went back in time since I was a little shy kid. tremendous flashback of almost every single situation that Alan Roger Currie express on thia bible. yes that what I said "Bible" thats how you should treat this book cause it has all the answers of why you were so frustrated, sad, hopeless and mad about all those rejections.
