Publisher's summary

It's beginning to look a lot like...murder.

It's Christmastime, and farmer Lucy Resnick is living the life she's always dreamed of. When she's not selling her jams, soaps, and mistletoe bundles at the Buttercup Christmas Market, she's enjoying cozy evenings by the fire with her knitting group - or her handsome veterinarian boyfriend Tobias Brandt. But less than a week before Christmas, a pall falls over the festive atmosphere when local man Randy Stone turns up with a knife in his back...and a sprig of mistletoe in his hair.

Local sheriff Rooster Kocurek, never the brightest bulb on the string, is convinced it's an open-and-shut case - murder by jealous wife - but Lucy suspects otherwise. She soon discovers that Randy's life was more tangled than last year's Christmas lights...and that unless she wraps up the case fast, there might be more than one funeral this holiday season.

Not just right

In the previous books Grandma's sent was lavender in this it was Rose. There were a few other differences as well almost as if it was 2 different author's.

Nothing

The book did little to justify a fifteen word report - sorry. One, two three four. Ten.

Cute

It’s a lovely cute book, easy listening if you want something light and fun. Don’t expect anything life changing or earth shattering, it’s the kind of thing you go for if you’ve had a long stressful day and just want to unwind.

I Enjoy the Story

I enjoyed the story line but the fake Texas accents are a little too much.

It’s ok

This was an acceptable listen. Lucy it still making dumb decisions like going to where the murderer is alone after suspecting they’ve killed many time 🙄🙄🙄 the mystery is pretty standard cozy.

Follow-up 4 Continues Yet Can Still Be a First Read

Easy to listen to reader. Story is well written and revolves around some characters introduced in previous books but each story has so far stood alone. I enjoyed the developing relationship between the two main characters. I am not a fan of novels in which too much detail is thrown into scenes of romance between characters. In this story the continued development of romance between the two is handled tastefully while not bringing the story to a grinding halt. Karen MacInerney does not "give" surprise information till near the conclusion when she neatly ties up all the loose ends. Am anxiously awaiting the next offering in this series.
