Publisher's summary

Everyone has secrets, and Rachel Holloway is no exception. She’s worked hard to keep the past where it belongs: dead and buried. And so far, she’s been very successful. But now the small newspaper where she works wants to produce a podcast on a cold case: the disappearance 12 years ago of young Molly Forster.

Some secrets should never see the light of day, and, as far as Rachel is concerned, whatever happened to little Molly is one of them. Rachel has a life now - a boyfriend she loves and a three-year-old daughter she adores - and she will do anything to protect them. But to do that, no one can ever know that she is Molly Forster.

Very Enjoyable Book

I thought this was a very well thought out book. And I related to the characters thanks to the narration skills of Lucy Price-Lewis. Well done!

Worth the credit!!

Missing Molly by Natalie Barelli, narrated by Lucy Price-Lewis was super engaging and unpredictable. The last 1/4 of the book had a lot of twists, so I really didn't know what was going to happen. It kept me guessing 100%. The storyline was interesting and fast-moving, making time fly by!! I did, however, have to re-listen to a few chapters/parts because I was confused - what I interpreted to be past events and flashbacks were actually events happening in real-time, causing me confusion with what was going on. This could have very well been my own issue with not listening close enough to the story, rather problems with the writing of the book.

The narration by Lucy Price-Lewis was awesome! I'm pretty sure this is my first time listening to her; I definitely plan to check out more of her work. I really enjoyed her performance.

Overall, I give ~4.5 stars to Missing Molly by Natalie Barelli, narrated by Lucy Price-Lewis. I recommend this audiobook to fans of psychological thrillers - it's definitely worth the credit.

Thanks for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. Happy listening! :-)

Very Entertaining!!

I enjoyed this story very much. I am more of a reader or listener in this case of mysteries than of thrillers, but Missing Molly was an exception to that preference. For me, there is always an element of performance to an audiobook. The narrator for this book was outstanding. Many reviewers were not able to suspend disbelief around the plot. The performance of the narrator propelled me past any hesitations regarding the believability of the story. I was hooked from the beginning.

Why all the hate?

I was hesitant to get this book after reading the reviews but I REALLY enjoyed it. Yes, the main character makes some stupid decisions that's often what people in stressful situations do. It would be really boring book if she did everything right all the time. In any case, I really enjoyed the book. To me it was one of those, just chilling in the driveway for an extra 10 minutes just so I can listen a little longer audiobooks.

Intriguing plot for True Crime Podcast Fans

Some audiobooks are to pass the time while working. Some, like Molly, make you forget you’re working and you look for excuses to keep listening. A small fraction was annoying, nothing torturous. Overall a good concept!
