It's over and now I have to wait

I love these books. This is number 4 and I want the next one now. Such great characters and a different view of the world than I have seen before.

Wonderfully written and masterfully read. This entire series is fantastic and had me hooked since book one.

Thoroughly enjoyable series!

I am thoroughly enjoying this series. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy a book series without vulgar language and sexual situations.
These are not mysteries, nor romance, yet I'm finding the stories interesting due to the fact that they take the reader (listener) back to what life was like in New Jersey 100 years ago. I am a NJ resident, and I live locally to the towns that are in the book. The three sisters are interesting characters, and quite naive.
One thing I will point out, though, is that the book ends abruptly (at least my download did), leaving me with the question "was that the end of the book? Did I miss something?" I went to the library and borrowed the hardback book, and found that, yes, I did hear the end. Most audiobooks end with "thank you for listening", or something to that effect.

Best book of the series yet

All the stars! This is one of my favorite series ever, and this is the best installment yet. Constance Kopp is one of the best characters out there and we get to see her in a somewhat different light in this book. In general I would describe the series as somewhat serious romps as Constance follows a case and has humorous interactions with her sisters, but there are also important and weighty reflections on issues women faced at this time in history. But this book, THIS BOOK. Besides the usual storylines, a major theme in this book is grief and depression following a loss of something that had been central to one's identity. It's so tender and emotional and raw, that I can't really think of anything intelligent to say about it because I am still so deep in my feelings, having just finished it. I just want to yell at everyone to read this series, but certainly don't start with this one--it's best appreciated in order. Thank you Amy Stewart for bringing us this character, both for shedding light on a little-known historical figure and for everything that's wonderful about the fictional version of Constance (and her sisters) that you have brought to life.

Christina Moore's narration is superb, as always.

hurry up and write another. again the sociology of women's lives in early 20th century is on full view.

At Last

My favorite so far. Grabbed my interest from the start and I listened to it all in one sitting. Not the norm for me! I was surprised when it was over. I liked the lawyer/deputy sheriff duo a lot and hope the author expands Caroline Kopps' world to include characters with more dimension than the other two sisters. I know they each have their own backstory but the dynamic between the three is just annoying to me. Nevertheless, I'm buying the next book and hoping for the best because this one was just so good.

Love the Kopp sisters. Amy Stewart made these sisters come to life. The story is so fun and refreshing. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

Another good entry in this series

I enjoyed this book as I have earlier books in the series. The narrator is easy to listen to and she does well with the various characters.

An interesting story as Deputy Kopp continues her fight. I’m ready for a new adventure with her.
