    Nov 14 2025
Today’s guest says the problem isn’t that kids hate fruits and vegetables—it’s that we’ve forgotten how to make healthy food simple, fun, and actually doable. She’s on a mission to help families ditch the guilt and perfectionism around food and find joy in feeding their bodies well again. Brittany Shaver, mom of three and head of content at Clean Food Dirty Girl, joins me to talk about simple, realistic ways to get your family eating more fruits and vegetables without stress, shame, or chaos. In this episode, we unpack what it means to lead by example, let go of “perfect eating,” and build healthy habits that last. If you’ve ever felt stuck between wanting to eat better and just trying to survive dinner time, this conversation will help you find the sweet spot between healthy and human. This episode is sponsored by Washington Red Raspberries.Links Discussed in This Episode |Diane's Resource: Weekly Snack BinsBook: The Soup BookBlog Post: Plant-Based on a BudgetBook: Cook Once, Eat All WeekDocumentaries: Forks Over Knives | What the HealthBook: Sacred Cow: The Case for (Better) Meat: Why Well-Raised Meat Is Good for You and Good for the PlanetCopia FarmSouper CubesConnect with Brittany:WebsiteInstagramPodcastAbout Brittany |Brittany Shaver is the head of content and design for Clean Food Dirty Girl, a woman-owned company specializing in whole-food plant-based meal plans. I love everything about this podcast and the previous show minimalist moms. My favorite episodes past and present address increasing time outside/reducing screen time, parenting, people pleasing/boundary setting, and how to declutter individual places in the home and non-physical areas of your life.
