Story
Minimalism is about getting closer to what gives you pleasure. We are all aware that quality of life has nothing to do with consumer products, and that "substance" is not a measure of success. A minimalist life leads to freedom — freedom from debt, unrest, and the rat-race. Any excessive things, whether unused, unnecessarily purchased, or unfulfilling in nature that you remove will feel like a weight lifted from your shoulders.

The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Story
Most of us know we own too much stuff. We feel the weight and burden of our clutter, and we tire of cleaning and managing and organizing. While excess consumption leads to bigger houses, faster cars, fancier technology, and cluttered homes, it never brings happiness. Rather, it results in a desire for more. It redirects our greatest passions to things that can never fulfill, and it distracts us from the very lives we wish we were living. But it doesn't have to be this way.

Story
When you think of minimalism, what comes to mind? Minimalism is about trading all of the excess junk in your life that piles up so easily for more of what brings you joy: spending time with your family and friends, writing, sleeping, and experiencing life. It’s about teaching your kids to live simple lives so that you can experience the beauty of the world together as a family. It’s about working with your husband or wife to build the life you want for your family instead of fighting with them about all of the junk that needs to be taken care of....

Story
It's been months of telling yourself that you’d changed to a much simpler stress-free lifestyle. But instead, you have been wearing what feels like a backpack loaded with bricks, and all your doing is adding more and more bricks. When will enough be enough? We all know how it goes. Your house is full of things you either bought yourself, were gifted, or inherited and thought you might need it one day. And yet, the toaster and old CD player you bought at you neighbor's yard sale last week has made your home its home. Truth is, the older we get, the more clutter we accumulate.
Publisher's Summary
Most times, people think the level of joy and happiness they get in life depends on how much stuff they can acquire and hoard. But in reality, less is more when you get your priorities right. The best life is the life lived doing the things that matter the most.
This audiobook will teach you that owning lots of stuff will never make you a happier person until you downsize whatever you own to the most essential. If there is anything owning too much stuff does to your life, it is to complicate it. A life lived with excess possessions will always leave you bankrupt and unfulfilled. The effort and time required to cater for the excess possessions you are holding on to, will sap your energy, give you more stress, and eat deep into your limited time.
Living with less stuff and engagements will free up more time for you to spend with your loved ones like close friends, kids, and other family members. Living with less will also free up more cash as you get to spend less on purchases and maintenances. Living the minimalist life will enable you to enjoy freedom in every aspect of your life and become a better you.

Some good ideas but a lot of fluff
Most of the suggestions seem to be for someone who values their time at near $0. There's still some good ideas burried in there though.
The performance was pretty dry and I don't know why.... There... Are long pauses all the time.
