Publisher's Summary

Katherine's place is the same as any woman's - on the shelf next to the dresses and bolts of cloth. When she's sold to a warlock, life grows even bleaker. Her new owner is as old and rancid as he is cruel, driving her to do the unthinkable: run.

Nothing prepared her for being on her own. And she's definitely unprepared for the warlocks hunting her down. But she must stay one step ahead because if caught, the best she can hope for is death.

Mine to Tarnish

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No I wouldn't.I wanted to like this book, but it was just too wordsy and negative for me.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

That the 'Tarnished' could take your punishmant foe you.

Which character – as performed by Maria Pendolino – was your favorite?

Katherine

Do you think Mine to Tarnish needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

well,I can see how some would like this book,so for them, yes.

Any additional comments?

I really wanted to like this book.I liked the narrator of this book. She has a way with voices. The main character of the story ,Katherine, just didn't click with me.There were way too many same descriptions and 'as women' or 'as worlocks were intended to be' in it.

Interesting Story!

I enjoyed listening to this story. There was lots of anguish caused by the societal structure of the world depicted in this book. Consequently, Katherine had an arduous task in deciding how to deal with the unfortunate turn of events her life dealt her. The suspense kept me listening to this story non-stop. The narrator did a great job in bringing this story to life. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A great story

The idea of the story was good. A woman having to do something she didn't want to is unspeakable. But Charles & his association helped the tarnished which was great. Can't wait for the next one.

Warlocks don't believe in women's rights!

This was a very good book with a story quite original. It brought up feelings that bothered me from when I was young. I am really looking forward to another book from this author.

Wow! Great start to a promising series!

Would you consider the audio edition of Mine to Tarnish to be better than the print version?

The audiobook was terrific--Narrator Maria Pendolino has a soothing and young voice.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mine to Tarnish?

I was really drawn by the description and stories around the Tarnishes, I also loved how nasty the character Elton was.

Have you listened to any of Maria Pendolino’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book in one setting. It was a quick listen and engaging enough to where I could see myself in the forest alongside Katherine, Charles, and the Tarnished
