Very enjoyable 90‘s futuristic romance. Spicy, adventurous and interesting storyline. Wish there were more books in this series but Joy hasn‘t written anything really worthwhile since the late nineties. Ms Cook is a great narrator.

Prepare for something amazing
This series is one that you just can not help but return to year after year. I’ve read every book that Dara Joy has read repeatedly and listened to the accompanying audiobooks nearly as many times. The story line is fantastic and it breaks my heart that she didn’t continue publishing books. This series has all the potential of elevating the author to the level of Christine Feehan, Gena Showalter(Anna Argent), Rebecca Zanetti, Nalini Singh & Laurann Dohner and the amazing series that they gift their readers with. This story, like previous stories in the “Matrix of Destiny” series, pulls the reader into a world of wonder, filled with imagination and steamy romance. What we all wouldn’t give to have a “Familiar” or a “Knight of the Charl” come sweep us away to become their mate in Avaria. The story is engaging and Dara Joy has that amazing ability that so few romance authors are capable of; a female lead that is intelligent and capable independently of her sexy male counterpart. Thank you for gifting us with a fascinating glimpse into your creativity and imagination Ms Joy. You cannot know how much an engaging story like this helps your readers get through difficult times. We get to escape our stressful and sometimes mundane lives while we are immersed in the story. 10/10 in every way!!

Try It You'll Like It!
The male characters in this series are seriously delicious. They know what they want and go after it with a confidence that can't be matched and a will that brooks no argument. Like the two books preceding this one, the storyline in this book is quite entertaining. The intimate scenes are sexually arousing, yet tastefully descriptive. I've thoroughly enjoyed all three books in this series thus far!

I waited a long time for this to come out in audio, so yes I did. In the 90's this was a very popular book at romance book stores.

ridiculous voices
I absolutely love this story and have since I was 14. But the voices from this narrator for the different characters are absolutely ridiculous. If it wasn't such a good book, it would have ruined it.
