Informative, concise, and uplifting.

As we head into the new year, I’m all about self-improvement. I’m all about letting go of the old me and embracing new ways and new methods in order to allow myself to enjoy a better quality of life. This book has been particularly helpful as procrastination is a big issue with me. Always has been and I’d feared it always would be. However, this book cuts right to the chase and sets out easy steps to follow in order to get over the hurdle of procrastination and deal with many of the underlying issues. It really opened my eyes and helped me to grow. I’m hopeful that I’m starting to leave my old ways behind me. Highly recommend. Informative, concise, and uplifting.

Useful, realistic and fun to listen

Very useful and realistic. This is one of the best productivity books I've listen. The author apparently tried everything to become more productive, and here he shares what works and what doesn't. We could all be more productive and this book gives actionable advice on how to get there.

Unexpectedly outstanding

I was a little surprised by how good this book is. The author teaches the reader how to use mindfulness/meditation in everyday life. This includes practice in everyday settings. I have used several of these suggestions to bring my mind back to the present and to slow my brain to the speed of life. I highly recommend this book to anyone needing to be more present

The metaphors in this book are used so well.

The metaphors in this book are used so well, some are the obvious points we know and need to be reminded me from time to time if you've read books of similar nature, but its not just noticing the thorns, and realizing they are controlling you and you are not actually controlling them, but instead freeing yourself from these thorns was what i found most inspiring

The mystery of mindfulness !

I have been wanting to mediate and be more mindful for a long time. Recuperating from surgery and finding this book at the same time made it all possible. The book is explain so you can really understand the benefits. It guides you with practical methods of incorporating mindfulness in your day. I loved that I had the meditations downloaded and that I had an easy access to them. I also found that the different ways to meditate, such as through sights, sound, movement, very helpful tools to choose from when my mood was coming from different places. I'v . I highly recommend his works if you want to teach yourself mental discipline, and change the way you think about business, life, everything. Another fantastic listen and I hope to purchase more from him.

You will be a better person.

When you learn how to step back from your own thoughts and emotions and evaluate them from a point of curiosity, compassion, and non-judgement, you start to view the world the same way. When you meditate you are literally exercising the part of your brain that allows you to do this naturally

A Practical Guide

As an Adolescent Medicine MD, I prioritize approaches that focus on positive youth development and resilience vs. targeting risky behavior. That's what I love about this book. writers provides a roadmap for how to give adolescents the life skills they need to manage stress in a positive, centered way, vs. mal-adaptive avenues. Parents, teens, and professionals will all find practical information here to apply to their work and life with teens.

Useful guide, easy to follow.

I think if you are just getting started with mindfulness, then this book might be a good place to start. The instructions and guides are approachable and easy to follow. Not incredibly exciting or innovative but useful in reminding you to be present. Having the practices divided up based on purpose is incredibly useful so you can go to exactly what you need. Probably best used a resource for new practices.

It was amazing

This book has been very helpful for me. It was recommended by my therapist and definitely gives great advice on how to live in the moment. I ended up bookmarking pages that pertained more to me, and you don't have to read the book in the order it's explained. You can go to any chapter that pertains most to you

Insightful

It was insightful but a bit over repetitive. Most memorable were the phases of mindfulness and application.
