    In the Weeds Special Addition: MSU Extension Educator Monica Jean and Jody Pollok-Newsom host Dennis Pennington, MSU Wheat Specialist, and Jonathan LaPorte, MSU Extension Farm Business Management Educator, to share their newly-developed wheat production calculator. This tool allows growers to make changes in the amount of inputs applied, their yield, their price, etc. Through this tool, growers see immediately what each variable means to their bottom line.

    At 32 minutes the presenters move to discuss a spreadsheet. We kept the audio so you could listen but we encourage you to download the 2026 Wheat Cost of Production Worksheet from the Michigan Wheat Program website.
