The Good and the bad.

This was a cute little show. Michael Shayne was Played by two different radio actors during the shows run. Wally Maher and Jeff Chandler. I think Wally was miscast. His voice was to goofy sounding to be the voice of a great detective. He sounded like should be doing a comedy show instead of a detective show. He was to chipper and happy to be a hard boiled detective. I couldn't take him serious, and don't get me started on his sidekick and love interest. Jeff Chandler was an improvement. His voice was made for a hard boiled detective and he didn't have an annoying sidekick. He did have Jack Webb before he was Joe Friday on Dragnet, playing another no nonsense detective.
