Publisher's Summary

""You were with him for a long time. You need to tell the story! You need to tell the real story about my son!" Inspired by these words from Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, former manager, confidant, and personal friend Dieter Wiesner's book Michael Jackson: The Real Story does just that.

Influenced by a sense of obligation, Mr. Wiesner shares intimate information about Michael Jackson, the visionary business genius, the loving father, and family man. What sets this apart from the large amount of other Michael Jackson narratives available are the primary source documents, which include transcripts of over 15 voicemail messages that listeners will have access to for the first time.

The book's author Dieter Wiesner was inseparable from Michael during the 80-concert, five continent HIStory world tour. After the tour, Dieter lived with Michael and his children for several years at the legendary Neverland Ranch.

Listeners will get to know Michael Jackson the human being in a much deeper way - the Michael that few got to know and appreciate.

Great book

this is a hard one but I am very grateful that Dieter Weisner was able to write this book I wish he was the one that told the story though I mean he did but he used someone else's voice I would have liked to have heard his voice personally what I do like is the actual recordings of the conversations between Dieter and Michael it was nice hearing his voice I heard his voice all the time but nice still I'm really grateful that he's finally at peace and now his dad's with him and maybe they can you know reconcile things on the other side and I do remember exactly what I was doing the day he passed away so that statement was very true and he did influence everybody the whole world it's still happening to this very day there's a bunch of people I guess you could call them Facebook groups that are millions and billions of fans. I am joined with them we just talk about Michael Jackson and honor him because he is someone that deserves the honor out of all the celebrities in my personal opinion is he's the one that really really deserved the good parts of becoming famous he deserved the love he deserved to beloved and deserved to buy whatever he wanted because he actually earned it you know he didn't fake his music he didn't fake his singing you can't fake dancing you can't fake that so he really earned everything that he got positive wise and yeah the system 100% is what destroyed him there's no doubt the truth is that people can actually die from a broken heart. it has been proven 100% fact and I believe that's what happened with him is that his heart was so broken from those stupid false allegations that he completely just be couldn't take it anymore he was completely done U know the children of the world that he loved so much and to have these children that he loved and took care of and paid for their expenses and did so much for for them to go and be so cruel after everything he did frustrates me angers me I miss him so much it's been 11 years now or no excuse me 12 years now but he still has an impact on new artists today and that's wonderful a good song a true icon never dies he never died in my heart I love him with all my heart he's just too special to me but I just wanted to put my thoughts in there and I'd like to get a hold of Dieter Weisner if he's still live because this book isn't super new but it's not super old either and I'd like to be able to contact Dieter Weisner personally This is a hard one but I am very grateful that I was able to listen 2 this book I wish she was the one that told a story though I mean he did but he used someone else's voice I would have liked to have heard his voice personally what I do like is the actual recordings of the conversations between deer and Michael It was nice hearing his voice My hair is boys all the time but it's just nice still I'm really grateful that he's finally at peace and now his dad's with him and maybe they can you know reconcile things on the other side and I do remember exactly what I was doing the day he passed away so that statement was very true and he did influence everybody the whole world and still happening to this very day there's a bunch of people I guess you could call him groups that are millions and billions of fans that I am joined with and we just talk about him and honor him because he is someone that deserves to honor out of all the celebrities my personal painting is he's the one that really really deserved the good parts of becoming famous he deserved the love he deserved to build the by whatever he wanted because he actually earned it you know he didn't fake his music he didn't fake his singing he didn't fake his dancing he can't fake that so he really earned everything that he got positive wise and yeah the system 100% is what destroyed him there's no doubt the truth is that people can actually die from a broken heart that's a hundred percent fat and I believe that's what happened with him is that his heart was so broken from those stupid false allegations that it completely just he couldn't take it anymore he was completely done you know the children of the world he loves so much and to have these children that he loved and took care of and paid for their expenses and did so much for them to go and be so cruel after everything he did frustrates me and gross me I mean it's been 11 years now or no excuse me 12 years now but he still hasn't impacted on new artists today and that's wonderful a good song a true icon never dies he'll never die in my heart he's just too special to me but I just wanted to put my thoughts in there and I'd like to get a hold of Dieter Weisner if he still alive because this book has special meaning to me it is not super new but it's not super old and and I'd like to be able 2 contact Dieter Weisner personally I have a few things I want to talk to him about even if it's by email or letter you know nothing weird

What the heck?

This audible is very poorly produced. I can’t believe the amount of errors in the production. You have voicemails that are being played that can’t be heard. Then you have voicemails being played over the narration.
If you know MJ nothing in this book will surprise you. The voicemails and the inside info about his business plans. The behind the scenes about his business acumen is great.

But the overall audible is in bad shape and needs correction. I feel like I should get my credit back because I didn’t get the entire book. Things missing and can’t be heard. Very frustrating

Ok

The narrator was fine and I did find a few more dots to connect in the Enigma which is Michael! But I have an issue with Dieter Weisner in that he is a friend of Joseph Jackson; Michael's father and, bearing in mind, MJ's issues with Joseph, I don't know how little or much I can actually believe about this book!

Hart gripping

this story opens your eyes to how it was like to be MJ and as good as it was it came with its troubles MJ could not go anywhere or do anything without people judging him all MJ wanted to do is live is life and we wouldn't let him we need to stop this opposition we have and sometimes we need to let people just live their lives

Good book with some MJ business insights

I enjoyed listening to the recordings of Michael. Whilst I know that he was very business minded I’m not sure the general public do. Hearing more about his plans to buy Marvel and buy out Disney is interesting, although I already knew somethings about. Hearing about how he helped with some of the landmarks in Las Vegas. My only critique would be that at one point when a recording is being played the narrator talks over it. Some records you cannot make out what he’s saying as it’s so crackly so it would be good to be told after what was said. Sometimes you can tell the narrator has had to go back later to re-record certain bits as they sound different. I would prefer more chronology as flitting between times was difficult to follow. But I would recommend this

A kind story of truth about the Man himself.

A touching story about a friendship between the King of Pop and his loyal Manager.
Michael Jackson was a private man who's life was on display for the world to see. This story gives an inside peek into the human side of the legend. There are moments of laughter. Moments of tears.
A must read for any MJ fan.
