Publisher's summary

Fierce and sexy, former Marine Travis Sanchez has always held himself back from the rest of the world, using his tattoos and piercings as armor. But when the woman he's wanted for months is threatened, he knows it's time to strip away the bad boy image and show her just how much he wants to be with her. As one of Red Stone Security's best contractors, Travis is trained for almost any situation. But nothing prepares him for the most dangerous threat of all: the one to his heart.

Kind-hearted Noel Baskov's only wish for the holidays is that her Miami coffee shop has a successful Christmas season. But her focus on work is interrupted when the family of the young girl she mentors is threatened, and the man she's been lusting after for months steps in to handle it. Unfortunately, the danger is far from over. Can this sexy and mysterious warrior protect Noel, or will he be the one to shatter her heart?

Warning: This audiobook features a heroine determined to fight for those she cares about, a protective hero with a very interesting piercing, and some holiday magic.

A Steamy Adrenaline Rush!

Would you listen to Miami, Mistletoe & Murder again? Why?

I absolutely would! There's not too many audios I would listen to again, but I wouldn't hesitate to do so with Miami, Mistletoe & Murder! It was a very enjoyable romantic thriller that also served to educate me about body art...The hero, Travis, is tattooed all over and he has piercings that I'd never heard of AND which I've been unable to forget... So this book educated me too! You'll have to read or listen to the tale to find out where Travis was pierced.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Miami, Mistletoe & Murder?

There were so many! But... I'm going to go with the one that I've been unable to forget when Noel discovered the benefits of Travis' piercing down under. Here's a tiny snippet of that dialogue:
“You feel so...good," she rasped out.
"The piercing?"That was all he could manage as he pulled back then slid into her again.”

What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrator, Sophie Eastlake, did a terrific job bringing all the characters to life. I took to her voice right off the bat. She differentiated between the voices with aplomb and I could always tell who was speaking from her portrayals. I love listening to audios because I can "read" while performing tasks that would normally preclude me from enjoying a book during those times. Sophie Eastlake truly made this audio a joy to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did have some rather extreme reactions! I held my breath so much I thought I was going to pass out! AND I oohed, aahed and swooned over some of Travis' and Noel's times together.

Any additional comments?

I loved that MIAMI, MISTLETOE & MURDER was infused with holiday magic as it was set during the Christmas season. No worries, the Christmas thing wasn't sappy or overdone... it was just the perfect touch.
This is the story of Miami coffee shop owner Noel Baskov and former Marine Travis Sanchez. LOL! I have to comment that I thought Noel's name was perfect as the heroine in a book set at Christmas. Noel and Travis had a short discourse on her name: “My middle name is actually Noel."
"So what's your first then?" From her expression, he was almost afraid to ask.
Noel bit her bottom lip. "Christmas.”

MIAMI, MISTLETOE & MURDER was a quick listen at just under three hours, but the author did not shortchange the tale in any way. This story ranks as one of my favorites in her Red Stone Security series and I can honestly say that it's one that I'd enjoy listening to again. I started listening to it while gardening and simply could not turn it off... I ended up continuing it while I showered, prepared dinner and ate. Talk about well-orchestrated suspense and scorching romance! This audio had it all! It was exquisite superbness!

LOVED It!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this audiobook to a friend because it is a great romantic suspense book. The characters are great and the narrator is very easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This is the perfect book to listen to in one sitting because it is a shorter book. The story line is great and will keep you wanting to listen to the very end because you can't wait to see what is going to happen next.

Any additional comments?

If you love a great romance with some suspense then you need to read/listen to this book. I am a huge fan of this author.

An edgy, sexy story with action

I normally stay away from novellas, but I have become a huge fan of this series and Ms Reus, so of course I had to listen to it.
In this one Travis Sanchez, a former Marine and member of Red Stone Security, and Noel Baskov, coffeehouse owner, are the main characters.
These two have had their eyes on each other, without taking a step forward. Just when they are about to take it, Noel’s Little SIster calls her for help. Travis comes in to safe the day. That side of the audiobook gives us the mystery, murder and action.
But I feel the story is more about Noel’s and Travis’s relationship. Ms Reus gives us an edgier, sexy relationship that is off the books.
So for an entertaining story to be listened to in an afternoon, this one is the one for you.
I was gifted this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

ok story.. Interesting hero with survivors guilt.

Private eye with a military past falls for a coffee store owner and aid her situation with a little girl she mentors under the "Big sister's" program. Due to extreme and dangerous events it pushes the relationship really fast. But, it was a cute love story. I really like the lead male.. Except the weird penis piercing. Worth a listen.. Yes, there was some diversity via other characters.

Love and Danger in Miami

Former Marine Travis Sanchez is a trusted member of the Red Stone Security team. As a former marine, he's good at his job, but outside of work he keeps to himself until he meets coffee shop owner Noel. He wants to know her better. Suddenly she's in danger as she rushes to protect a single mother and her young daughter. Travis has to use deadly force. Now he and Noel are being stalked. Travis will not let anyone harm her. Can their new love survive? Travis is all power and raw hunger except with Noel. When he's with her he's gentle and protective. Noel is attracted to him and wants him in her life. I loved their passionate bond. Miami and the holiday setting provide the perfect backdrop for this emotional adventure. Katie Reus gives us an action packed yet romantic story. I love the Red Stone Security series. Miami, Mistletoe and Murder is another great addition. I enjoy reading about Harrison, Lizzy and the rest of the team. Listening to this story as an audio book brought the story to life. I love the narrative as done by Sophie Eastlake. She does a wonderful job.

Short and sweet

Despite how short this was, it was chock full of adventure drama and romance. I’m glad Travis finally got his own story and Noel was perfect for him!
