Old Bird had little to say other than to mention the upgrade specs, show all pertinent maps and plan her ship’s orbital insertion path, and the update itself, as Samus grudgingly expected, was a total downgrade. She lost much, leaving her with a bare-bones kit completely invisible to Mother Brain, who by then could survey her planet from crust to ionosphere and send out all form of countermeasure as an immune response to anything foreign. A tear squeezed from the corner of Samus’s eye as she realized just how trapped she was by her morality, her circumstances, and her suit. Going to Zebes, while necessary, left her empty, hopeless and afraid. Emotionally as well as in name, this was to be her Zero Mission. (Based on the manga by Ishikawa Kenji)

this book could have really used a real person narrating it but the AI voice did a decent job at it

Nice to hear the origin of gamings most underrated character.

As a fan the series I’m glad we have access to the manga for the series.

inflection nonexistent, multiple mispronounced words. the only thing enjoyable was the nostalgia of the story. I would never pay for an AI narrated story and take away a paying job from much more entertaining narrators.
