Critic reviews

"Meth Murder & Amazon is a compelling and refreshing crime fiction story that will have you wondering what is reality and what isn’t. I highly recommend this humorous romp. This quirky urban thriller immediately caught my attention from the turn of the first page. G.S. Gerry’s unorthodox writing style had me wondering just what direction this intriguing story was headed in. I felt as though I was watching an energetic play, all while drinking too much caffeine." (Literary Titan)

"Comic Relief Parallels Family Drama! Apart from the fact that these situations are factual, this family took lemons, and made lemonade. Then they took the lemonade and brought the world some comic relief.* G. S. Gerry's impressive writing style and keen sense of humor will leave you wanting more. G. S. uses absurdity, avoiding the pitfalls of cursing, and draws each reader into a roller coaster of the unthinkable. Personally, I can hardly wait until G. S. Gerry writes his second-best seller!" (Book Marketing Global Network)

"This book is good for a laugh if that is what you are in the mood for, and good for a laugh if you're a grumpy old cow and are not in the mood for one also. It all goes downhill as quickly as a methamphetamine rush. It's brutal. Nothing seems to come easily for the family and they are struck by calamity after calamity...." (Jamie Michele, Readers' Favorite)

Jaw dropping, rollercoaster of a ride!

If you’re into wild rides, crazy adventures, or just prefer to live vicariously through someone who managed to stump even the most pessimistic of critics about just how much can truly go wrong while buying a house… this read is for you! Interesting tale that if weren’t backed up with cold, hard, redacted facts… one would assume this author had one very wild imagination!

Tongue in Cheek Hilarity

Derald Grake is a father, husband, and all-around good guy with high hopes and expectations. Entering into the real estate market by selling his home and purchasing a new one near his mother becomes a trial by fire! Nothing goes as planned. Especially when it is reported that the body of a dead child was found under the bed during an open house and the homeowners fled after said child died. The thing is Derald has four children, all of them alive and well, and in the car with him! Join Derald as he tries to beat the odds of bad luck.

G. S. Gerry, the author, tells the story of Derald in a tongue-in-cheek, absurd, and hilarious style as he takes the listener through the never-ending saga of mishap, mystery, and chaotic maim. Gerry incorporates every seller’s nightmare, urban legend, and adrenaline-fueled action into one book. His characters are unique in every way and handle the craziness and frustrations of their life well. Gerry captivates his audience with vivid imagery and relatable levels of frustrations with common situations that become hilarious. The inner dialogue of Derald is amusing and like a rollercoaster out of control. It is almost as if he is ADHD as his train of thought is often quick, takes drastic turns, and then gets back on the rail.

The narrator, Jacob Reece, is perfect for this audiobook. He captured the essence of the book and gave an accurate voice to it from beginning to end. He managed to keep the fast delivery and sharp turns in the dialogue moving forward. Honestly, I don’t know how he did this as coherently as he did, switching from unique tones to sounds to a swift change in topic. He did all this without laughing and without skipping a beat!

Overall, this is a fun book. It took me a few minutes to grasp what was going on but when I did, I came to appreciate Gerry’s humor and sill at not only capturing the attention of his listeners but finding an excellent narrator that further enhanced the audiobook.

Riveting

This novel tells a story about a set of experiences that are unique and left me in many cases, trying to decide what the end would be like. The book is also brilliantly narrated.
